comes from a song by John Mayer, called "say"...

What do you guys think? is it really better to say too much than to never say what you need to say?

I am with sunshine lion on this one. Once you say something, in particular a cutting remark. You can't take it back. It's out there.

On the other hand, if it's something good, like "I love you" "I want you in my life" "You mean the world to me". Then, that phrase makes perfect sense.

I opened this thread and John Mayer is playing on my Pandora station.

I think we should stick out feet in our mouths as often as possible!

One thing I have learned in life is that it is often better to keep my gob shut. So I am right with BlueTopaz on this one, though I do sometimes fail to keep those cutting remarks to myself, I am the first to admit.

The local Undertaker (whom I met in less than ideal circumstances) said putting a letter box in the crematorium is popular as people often feel there are things they have left unsaid. I'd rather articulate those things before that point, so I hope it is a good sign that there is nothing that comes to my mind that would need to go on such a letter. However, telling someone I appreciate them happens more often since he said that, taking people for granted is so easy to do.

It's a fine line between, "if you don't have anything nice to say..." and, "sometimes the truth hurts."

May we all be granted the wisdom to know which is which.
