just wanted to share something that recently happened.

one afternoon after school i thought i would take the kids to mcdonalds. so we're waiting in, what turns out to be, an after school queue to go through the drive-thru. when i finally get to the box that is going to take my order (and i hate talking into metal boxes) it turns out that it's cracking up and i can't hear the girl and she can't quite hear me. so i've placed the order and she asked me to repeat it. which made me laugh a bit - but i got through it. all the while i could hear this box making crackling sounds. this went on two more times. at which point - i looked over at my son in the front passenger seat - big mistake - because i lost it - laughing hysterically and i couldn't speak to her. the next thing that happened made me roar with laughter even more - the only clear words that i heard her say through that broken cracking metal box was when she yelled "f*ck". well that sent me over the edge. i was laughing so hard i couldn't breath. which i'm sure she must have heard. i worked out that we were asked to drive to the window. which i did - and was grateful by the time we got there that the queue was long enough so that i had time to get it together. but one look at her - and that was it. ah, so so funny. would you like mceffing fries with your order? beautiful.
