But I guess, that is not enough to qualify us as soulmates (luckily), because it is a bit like ships that would pass in the night except for that ASC-IC-link and the fact that his ASC trines my Mars and ASC.

But we have so little planetary aspects.

HIs Sun widely conjuncts my Sun, but I seem to share that with many men

I more and more believe that to feel SOME sort of attraction there HAVE to be some conjunctions or oppositions. Without them there will be no melting or meeting of souls or bodies.

In the case of Rafe and me:

His Mercury opposes my Saturn
his pluto opposes my Jupiter
his ASC conjunct my IC

nothing to be really proud of

But I also would include houserulers.

his 6th and 3rd house rulers oppose my Saturn
his 6th and 3rd house rulers opposes my 2nd house ruler
his Mercury opposite my 2nd house ruler

his 8th house ruler oppose my Jupiter
his 8th ouse ruler oppose my 1st house ruler
- now that is one connection that is worth considering
his Pluto oppose my 1st house ruler

8th house - 1st house can be intensely passionate; but I think ONLY if there are also strong aspects to Venus, ruler of 7th, 4th or 5th house,w hich are not there.

In this case Pluto / 8th house opposing 1st house - that man could pretty much destroy me!
I think this is some kind of "dangerous" connection. Pluto is not only the nice passionately loving transformator, he can also transform by destructive behaviour.

Just because there is a connection to "my" Paul, a coincidental connection.
As you know "my" Paul is a child of the 7th april, and I have the feeling someone who meant a lot for Meta might have some connections to that date.
Also she is born in 1990, the very year I first noticed Paul.

So, the synastry with her is actually my transit-chart for that summer and experience, and thus she reminds me a LOT of what I was experiencing then and how I was thinking and what I was feeling and desiring.
