And don't you just hate it when people say "OOH do you know who you remind me of?"

And you just know it will be someone you hate.
And you say through gritted teeth "No....do tell"
And you can see them getting all excited waiting to deliver the....You're the image of...(insert ghastly celebrity)

And it's all you can do, even as a peacable and pleasant human being not to take your fist back and deliver a smashing blow right between their eyes?
I make it a point NEVER to tell people that they look like some celebrity....unless it's Angelina Jolie....and then I would definitely punch her lights out!!!

bunnies -

That reminded me of something. Years ago, I was visiting my 80-something great aunt. Taped on her wall next to family photos was a picture torn out from a magazine of a celebrity.

I asked if she was a fan. No, she didn't even know who the actress was, but she thought the actress looked just like me. Ok, guess that warrants a place on the family photo wall. I made sure she realized it wasn't really me, threw in a few questions about the year and the president just to make sure she was still on board. She ended up keeping that picture up there for the rest of her life. Kooky Aquas, God love 'em.

Are you gonna tell us who was hanging up on her wall, Jane?

Ay ya ya, I shoulda saw that question coming, but honestly didn't. Must be my damn Leo Moon subconsciously wanting to strut her stuff. My Scorpio ASC is now cursing myself for sharing that story.

Would you two believe Jude Law? (In drag, of course.)

Ok, I don't want to say b/c I'm psycho like that. I'm sorry.

bunnies, I know you're an Aqua! That's why your post on the celebrity look-alike topic made me think of my Aqua aunt and her creepy...err, quirky....approach to it.

The Jude reference was for darkdreamer, in case she popped in this thread. They have crazy good synastry. I got matched with him once at myheritage. The one time I got matched with a guy, and it had to be him!

Oh Jane, that's bad (coffee shop).

A while back I lived by the seaside. I got quite a few reproving comments off old ladies who said: you've had that baby out in the sun!

Er, no.

It hurt. I was startled, since it's the first time my age has been moved up instead of down by someone else. In fact, not even two months ago, someone mistook me for an 8 year old. Not kidding. But she was probably on something, now that I think about it.

Earlier this year, a good friend of mind told me when he first walked in the shop, he thought the same barista was me and realized it wasn't as he got closer. So I'm consoling myself by telling myself that the girl must not have seen my look-alike up close.

Part of me thinks this was payback for all the ribbing my SO gets from his friends and from me about me looking so much younger than him. So we've been having fun with the new material this brought. Jokes about whether he'd like me to take my dentures out this time, that sorta stuff.

Jude Law???
Yep you are right! Kooky.
Did I ever tell you about the plastic spoons I brought back from a KFC in Birmingham because...wait for it....they hadn't fulfilled their spoon destiny?
We hadn't used them and I knew they were headed for the garbage without...you know....fulfilling their spoon destiny.
I drew faces on them and they were known as Smiley Spoon and Cynical Spoon.
We kept them for about 6 months.
The last I heard they were D.J's on Spoon F.M

And you thought your aunt was wacko!!!!

I'm not an Aquarius but my sister and I drew faces on paper bags from Pie World (yes the actual pie packets) and invited them to a Pie World party in the living room. With streamers and stuff. And we took photos of the pie bags having fun at the party.

I was in my 20s at the time.

P.S The spoons will be available to D.J for any future pie parties at very reasonable rates.

What a fortunate stumbling upon!

I am, in fact, looking for a few good spoon D.J.'s to host my next cuddle-party.
The last few were forking-idiots.

I will serve nothing but brothy soups and chilis, and spoon needing dips.

I do hope you realise Miss pixelpixie that the spoons categorically refuse to be dipped in anything!
They are now top drawer artistes....albeit the cutlery drawer!
