Has anyone experienced the side effects of headache and depression I've read so widely about online? Has it helped you at all? Thanks so much. IP: Logged |

I guess I should have written the question more clearly. Has Lunesta helped anyone fall asleep without the widely reported side effects of headache and depression? IP: Logged |

Thank you LEXX. I'll try the children's benedryl. I remember my mom used to take some benedryl before bed and it seemed to help. I just hope it doesn't make me hungry. I have an interview tomorrow for a data abstractor position at a hospital, so I pray that I am with it, or at least appear to be. LOL. IP: Logged |

UpdateHi Lexx. Thanks for the advice on Benodryl as a sleep-aid. I took two childrens grape flavored dissolving tablets and I was asleep within the hour! I honestly didn't think it would work, but it did, and it tastes great. Thanks again. ------------------ "...to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure." I spoke too soon, I'm afraid. It seemed to deepen my depression, making me very angry. Back to the drawing board. IP: Logged |

HHmm..Benedryl should not cause depression. I know the adult dose can groggy one out too much. I have found B12 to be an energy and mood lifter. If I think of anything else I will let you know. Oh yeah.... a sound machine and an eye mask works well for some folks!------------------ It is not about waiting for storms to pass...it is about learning to dance in the rain! __________________________________________________________________________ IP: Logged |

Which thing are you seeking.....good sleep or alleviation of depression and anger? Is lack of sleep causing the the anger and depression, or is the depression causing lack of sleep? And...how are your sinuses?------------------ It is not about waiting for storms to pass...it is about learning to dance in the rain! __________________________________________________________________________ IP: Logged |

I've read that a deficiency of B-12 can result in depression among other things. I take B-12 about once or twice a week, so I thought I'd take it every day for a month to see if there's any improvement. As for your questions: *My sinuses ache when it rains, especially on the right side of my head. I can't even put on a turtle-neck or go out when it’s windy. My primary care provider sent me to an eye doctor and they're fine. The ole process of elimination. * I would like to alleviate both. What came first, the chicken or the egg? I've been this way on and off ever since I can remember. Every person who used to baby-sit me have commented on what a little night owl I was. I am in the process of reading Brain-Switch Out of Depression by A.B. Curtiss, and what she says makes a lot of sense in regards to taking control of your thinking by redirecting your thoughts. Here is her website which better explains ideas of stopping depression in its tracks. http://www.depressionisachoice.com/index.html My lack of sleep is distorting my memory and the way I see things in general. It is hard to even write this post...almost a struggle. Day by day, you know?

Yes I do know and sympathize. All that you described is how it is for my partner too. Thanks for the link, I will show it to him. I need B12 by injection. Some folks cannot digest oral B12.------------------ It is not about waiting for storms to pass...it is about learning to dance in the rain! __________________________________________________________________________ IP: Logged |

I'll have to ask my doc about the injections. I'm sure we'll have to do a blood test first. I like your quote. It's what I'm trying to do. It's my birthday today, so I'm trying to think on the positive side. Is there another phrase for positive side? It's getting a bit old. IP: Logged |

Yes, it is an OTC product. It's the only thing that ever worked for me. Natrol makes a good one. IP: Logged |

I'll check out Wal-mart tomorrow. Thank you! My doc perscribed ambien, and I was thinking of taking one tonight. I was on it a few years ago, but I relied on it for nightly usage. I only want to take one and make sure to sleep 7 hours, so I can feel tired the next night naturally. The trick is staying awake and not wanting to escape through sleep. We'll see, I'll post my experience by this time next week.Chow ------------------ "...to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure." Albus Dombledore Sorcerer's Stone IP: Logged |
