Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts.Rick lived more in his young life than most people do in 80 years. His big heart and seemingly total lack of inhibition was inspiring to many people. He touched so many lives, and, now that he is gone,
he is still bringing people together, as we all connect with one another. His memory is the ice-breaker that gets us all talking,
just as his breezy presence always broke the ice when he was alive. Rick would happily be the butt of the joke,
chew lightbulbs, let you staple his scrotum to his leg
(if you ever had the slightest desire to do so),
and maybe even take a bullet, just to make you laugh. Even on his deathbed, he was cracking jokes about puking blood. Thats the kind of guy he was. His mother and older brother passed years ago. I know he is finding comfort with them now. Thanks everyone.
