Well I am bored and stuck with a nightshift today... Thus you guys are gonna be my outlet for the day Lol!

I can't seem to find the previous thread created on the same topic... No matter: Time to bring in a new one!

So people... What ya listening to right now?

Thus far, I can't seem to get enough of the band Muse. Listening to "Time is Running Out" right now and I think that can really descibe my hypocritical situation right now Lol! I mean I am the guy who really didn't see himself as someone who would plan on settling down with someone longterm any time soon... And then along comes a gorgeous Scorpio with her eyes so sharp, her beauty so ravishing and her ways so passionate and myterious that this Leo/Libra just can't ignore the positives of settling down with someone like her Lol!

So... Its the end of an era folks... Let the song do its job:

I think I'm drowning
asphyxiated
I wanna break this spell
that you've created

you're something beautiful
a contradiction
I wanna play the game
I want the friction

you will be the death of me
you will be the death of me

bury it
I won't let you bury it
I won't let you smother it
I won't let you murder it

our time is running out
our time is running out
you can't push it underground
you can't stop it screaming out

I wanted freedom
bound and restricted
I tried to give you up
but I'm addicted

now that you know I'm trapped sense of elation
you'd never dream of
breaking this fixation

you will squeeze the life out of me

bury it
I won't let you bury it
I won't let you smother it
I won't let you murder it

our time is running out
our time is running out
you can't push it underground
you can't stop it screaming out
how did it come to this?
ooooohh

you will suck the life out of me

bury it
I won't let you bury it
I won't let you smother it
I won't let you murder it

our time is running out
our time is running out
you can't push it underground
you can't stop it screaming out
How did it come to this?

Xodian - being a fellow air sign, (I think off memory a stellium even?) have you thought about getting into the brilliant wit and crispiness of Roxy Music , especially their first two albums?

Well being an air sign, I can definately tell you that they won't be denied a chance to make it onto my MP3 player 23 . "Love is a Drug" is actually a good song.

Their style is so inline with Robert Palmer, who won me over with his song "Bad case of loving you" (Personal reasons Lol!)

Oh, go for the earlier stuff Mr Xodian! Seriously, get the first two albums, you really won't look back! Still Love is the Drug is a good disco song.

Old Rob Palmer eh?

Buddy Holly, the Everly Brothers and Louis Armstrong.

Going back in time Xodian!

True Love Ways
(Buddy Holly)

Yes you know why
Why you and I
Will by and by
Know true love ways.

Sometimes we'll sigh
Sometimes we'll cry
And we'll know why
Just you and I
Know true love ways.

Throughout the days
Our true love ways
Will bring us joy to share
With those who really care.

Sometimes we'll sigh
Sometimes we'll cry
And we'll know why
Just you and I
Know true love ways.

(Instrumental Interlude)

Throughout the days
Our true love ways
Will bring us joy to share
With those who really care.

Sometimes we'll sigh
Sometimes we'll cry
And we'll know why
Just you and I
Know true love ways.

I can't stand Muse. An ex-girlfriend had their "Showbiz" album, I borrowed it and found it was terrible... but to each their own.

Maybe Muse's later work is better, but I just thought I'd throw my humble opinion out there.

Oh yes, Roxy Music, my DAd once bought "Avalon" and I was the one listening to it ALL the time.

Oh those were the days, my friend, we`ve thought they`d never end...

I guess I should have a good look for it; it must be buried here somewhere under the pile of LP`s.

23:

Gonna do that right after I finish up with my current song Lol!

Muse: Map of the Problematique.

Scorpionic Web:

No I don't disagree there. I am narrowing down my Muse list right now and thus far I only have three good ones on my fav. list. But, that doesn't mean I gonna just stop there Lol!

koiflower:

Jam, Rock out, Chillaxin, or plain simple listening Lol! Whatever floats the boat . In the words of Rahul: " Bolly, holly, holly, bolly. Different wood same tree."

DD:

You're quite welcome. Now, switch over to the cult . We can't break the Synchronicity now Lol!

Cool thread.

I was sick in bed when you started this the other night - but this is my favourite subject - music - my soul.

Right now - Name by The Goo Goo Dolls. Love this song.

Xodian,

I think our synchronicity ends here, as I am listening to "Bittersweet" by Apocalyptica right now.

Lol! That song is stuck in my head. CSI saw to that Lol!

Now, a little hard rock:

AFI: Miss Murder

With just a look they shook
And heavens bowed before him.
Simply a look can break your heart.
The stars that pierce the sky;
He left them all behind.
We’re left to wonder why
He left us all behind.

Hey Miss Murder can I?
Hey Miss Murder can I?
Make beauty stay if I,
Take my life?
Whoa-oh-ohh
(ohh)

Dreams of his crash won’t pass
Oh, how they all adored him
Beauty will last when spiraled down.
The stars that mystify
He left them all behind.
And how his children cried
He left us all behind.

Hey Miss Murder can I?
Hey Miss Murder can I?
Make beauty stay if I,
Take my life?
Whoa-oh-ohh

What's the hook, the twist
Within this verbose mystery?
I would gladly bet my life upon it.
That the ghost you love, your ray of light
Will fizzle out without hope.
We're the empty set just floating through, wrapped in skin
Ever searching for what we were promised.
Reaching for that golden ring we'd never let go,
but who would ever let us put put our filthy hands upon it?

Hey Miss Murder can I?
Hey Miss Murder can I?
Make beauty stay if I,
Take my life?
Whoa-oh-ohh

Hey Miss Murder can I?
Hey Miss Murder can I?
Make beauty stay if I,
Take my life?
Whoa-oh-ohh

Offtopic:

It wasn't intentional. Those pics are like... a bazillion years old and back then, Xie here didn't know that cameras could be forced not to use flash in broad daylight Lol!

Thanks for reminding me actually that I need to update that place. Facebook has kinda taken over now .

I'm deeply embarrassed. Right now - it's The Spice Girls. ***hangs head in shame***

***sounds of rumaging through serious music collection, desperately looking for Free or Jimi Hendrix - but only finding ABBA and Air Supply***

DAMN!
