I've now voted. I feel good about it. I proved my Centrism to myself once again. Out of 11 propositions on my state ballot, I broke with the state party on five of them.

I was kind of surprised to learn that my party was against having an independent, bi=partisan commission draw the congressional district boundaries [Prop 11], because it flies in the face of what we learned from the DeLay-created debacle in Texas. I think the rules set forth in the Proposition are actually better than I'd expect, and should provide good balance for both major parties (while having input from Independents).

I'm intensely curious about how many people actually voted. Yahoo's Election Dashboard so far shows far less people than our last Presidential election. There were over 121 million votes last time around. Right now Yahoo/AP has us just under 99 million.
