Has anyone else been experiencing low gas prices?

A few months ago it was around $4.00 a gallon. Today I bought it for $1.58

Nobody ever talks about it when it goes down. Just up

Wow! That's really good. It's $2.05 or $2.09 here.

When I got back to Illinois in late September, I freaked out when I saw that gas was only $2.50. That means I could get two gallons (40 miles with the CRV) for the same price as 5 cheeseburgers.

I measure things by food worth...

No one talks about prices going down because until about 5 years ago, $1-something per gallon was normal. People react more when things deviate from what is considered normal or what "should be".

Philadelphia peaked in the $3.60's per gallon, now some stations around Philly are under $2 per gallon.

I saw gas last night for $1.99 and I was SO EXCITED. The highgas prices the past couple years have really made things difficult for me.

works out now at 5 u.s.a. dollars per 1 u.s.a. gallon ..
for running a car here .. add on good old annual road tax ..
plus m.o.t. charges ..
( m.o.t. is an annual mechanical test ..
( if it don't past the test .. it's illegal to drive it on the road
plus insurance fees ..

when it was high everyone was blaming inflation on the price! anyone see any other prices coming down in balance with the gas (shipping) costs??

i think it is as low as it has been in the last 8 years. tho my memory has big gaps in it!

It wasn't inflation. It was manipulation unfortunately.

(The thumbsdown isn't directed at a poster, but rather the manipulation.)
