Some of my efforts:* Put out your neighbours bins for them * Say please and thank you in shops * Smile at people and say hello Should be blindingly obvious, but apparently not everyone remembers their pleases and thank yous when they are out IP: Logged |

as my mother always says
a smile or a sincere compliment
cost you nothing and can make a big difference in someones day.I like this one

Ways to be nice to someone:* Validate their sense of humor * Don't say every negative thing/criticism that pops into your head * Be available (not aloof) * Show interest * Be silly (i.e. if someone says that you have to dance in order to get a cupcake, do it! They'll be impressed, they'll smile, and you may even make their day.) I had a client email me back that I was silly the other day. Totally made my day. She had apologized about a simple detail, so I apologized back regarding a trivial mistake I'd made myself. * Get enough sleep.
