If someone else is interested in the same thing and wants all the details and minutae, it won't be boring. But there are some things get me excited that would make most other people yawn if I go into the fascinating details. These include:- * History reasearch * My job (I'm a librarian) * Fascinating facts I have been reading about * Astrology (got a handy solution for that one, haven't I?) Specialities to bore my husband:- * Gossip about work * Gossip about people we know * Astrology * Religion * History * Ancedotes I repeat over and over IP: Logged |

I am a bore about:1)Traditional buildings/the loss of vernacular architecture. Ranting about UPVC windows and how anybody who could prefer these over a nice hardwood double glazed sash window must be on crack. The difference between a bargeboard and a fascia board, lime mortar versus cement etc. 2)China during the Mao era 3)Archaeology 4)Geomorphological processes. "Look there, that's an interesting example of tectonic uplift" Fascinating to me and all around me. 5)Cleaning/washing "Look how white this sheet came up. Look at it, look" "I only swept this floor this morning, look at what's in my dustpan now, I can't believe it etc etc" Insomnia? Gis a ring. But in return I get: 1) Model railways 2) Plumbing 3) Bowel movements of a geriatric dog - the variations of 4) The price of Leffe beer at Morrisons, Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys - a critical analysis IP: Logged |

These are fun to read!Wait... I mean BORING. I bore people with stories about my kids. I think they're hilarous, though! I also go on environmental and anti-medical industry rants. Everyone loves that. Astrology: guilty here! Wheels, I love your bit about the cleaning/washing. I do the same, and I just don't get why more people aren't as fascinated as I am!! IP: Logged |

Hmm, my list is like this:° astrology (especially synastry) ° soulmates / past life ° Jude Law ° Paul and Andy ° movies (my mum actually forbade my brother and me to talk about movies when we are having dinner as we tend to immerse ourselves completely and block out everything else. lol) ° mythology ° school ° musicals ° did I already mention Jude? Lets see, I probably would/have bored people about my interest in....-History -Heroes (the show) -Men I find hot -football (soccer) since I live in the States -Nationalgeographic Channel and the History Channel -what happened with my friends or at work (when I've had a job ) -random facts *suprisingly I haven't bored people with astrology. Whenever I've talked about it with any of my friends or family, they seem to want to know more. Probably because they learn its more than just sun signs. IP: Logged |

Oh I love Buffy. I'm addicted to Angband. 19th Century English vocabulary (love using "Capital" lol). Birds. Gem stones oddly. Dissecting society - especially the Australian one. Classical literature (not the really old stuff but 1700-1900). J...J...J... you know, that dude from Brum. Nirvana and Roxy Music.

Um...as an Aries...should I say MYSELF? wait, I'M never boring...how could I POSSIBLY be? I dunno...in real life (a.o.t. Web)...I really like to try hard to inspire/entertain people and not be boring Other topics: When I'm depressed - I am a bit boring about my depression. When I'm frustrated, and I moan about how people aren't helping me enough. Microscopic organisms(actually haven't talked about these for years) Poetry (especially the more difficult-to-understand kind) Um...can't think of any others. Could it be that I am a woman of relatively few words? (that would tie in with the Aries thing too) Stuff that bores me: Uber-technical people - who describe a piece of gadgetry in letter/number combination (usually blokes). AAARGGHH! SOOO boring! People who don't tell stories in an inspired way. As in "I did this and then I did this and then I did this". Where's the fun? People who REALLY try hard to impress with chunks of knowledge from New Scientist or the Spectator or wherever - I usually can't resist the temptation to beat them over the head with it and say: "Shut up! I know where you got that opinion from!" Sport - absolutely mind-numbing - I just don't get the attraction, unless you're doing it for pure fun, but people are so bloody serious about it! Television (Any television - I don't watch -particularly EastEnders. AAARGGGHHH!! For those without a life!) Sport, on television!! Xena IP: Logged |

I enjoy watching seashells dissolve in vinegar. I enjoy watching a flower bloom, waiting for the brief moment when it actually shudders, and you could miss it if you blink. Same goes for butterfly and other insects hatching and so forth. Microscopic study. I carry a magnifying glass and sample containers in case I find an interesting specimen. Watching fireflies. Flying kites. Blowing bubbles. Dictionaries reading them for pleasure and collecting them. Lexigramming. Past Lives. Automatic writing for hours without knowing what my hand wrote until I come out of D.I.T. Ancient History. Pre History. Archaeology. Creating Illuminated Manuscripts using gold leaf,blood/milk paint, and other archaic mixtures, and my own quills which I hand temper and sharpen. Pickled egg recipes. How to make Maple Syrup. Shopping for weird socks. Grafting plants. Quilting. Whittling. Making scrying mirrors and athames. My diverse job history....some really odd things there. My frog and toad miniature collection. My key collection...about as good a Bob Marleys! My adoration for Metropolis, Harold Lloyd, the 1951 Christmas Carol, La Belle et la Bête, 1946 version of Great Expectations. Looking for stones with natural holes in them. OK....have I succeeded in boring everyone yet? As for what I find boring? Well if I find myself in a boring situation, or around a boring person, I leave, or find a way to make it not boring. I will not waste my precious time on being bored.IP: Logged |

Xena! Thank you! More things that bore me. People who ARE bores, but think they are not bores and need to be the center of attention. Not all attention addicts are bores, but many are unless one is really into the same things. People believing they are experts and or masters at something but cannot back up their claim. People who ask..... "How are you?" but only expect a stock reply of; "Fine thank you! How are you?"......and really do not want a real reply. People who know I am not into most sports who will not shut up about them, complete with wearing team gear. Same goes for military talk, and Jehovah Witnesses going door to door. When some people go on and on about video games or D&D type roll playing games and Anime/Manga. Rabid Fan & fashion mentality....to the degree they talk about virtually nothing else...so predictable. People who go on and on about their pedigree dog, knowing it bores me and I am more a cat person. I am like, tell me about the funny things your dog does, not his "laundry" list. I m not impressed by it.

Usually most people I come across don't want to here about Freemasonry or Astrology. Other than that, I wouldn't describe myself as bored. I have so many interest that I can usually find common ground with most people I know.Ways to bore me? Be one dimensional and narrow-minded. Ask me to go to the same place time after time after time (Good grief!). Only listen to one genre of music. Try to shove religion down my throat from an uneducated and closed-minded standpoint. ANY UNNECESSARY ROUTINE! Window shopping. Goodness gracious I can't stand window shopping. Very different from reconing what you are planning to buy, but to go to the mall or major store just to look around just makes my brain turn to dry wood. IP: Logged |

Twilight never bothered me until my older sister got into them, I was going to read the books because my Leo friend suggested them but my sister told me all the darn details in the books.I pratically know everything about them without evening reading them. IP: Logged |
