One of the most special things about LL is that we share birthdate data.Anyone who's had a birthday thread here knows what a good feeling it is to be remembered and celebrated. My rant is that there is not enough participation here lately. If nothing else the Mods here should never miss an opportunity to say " hey knowflake it's your special day Happy Birthday. We're so special here,
if you don't know the person that's OK
make a friend and send a birthday greeting. Before anyone gets mad/hurt remember

I've always wondered about the etiquette of that because I think sometimes it feels a bit complacent sending birthday wishes to someone you don't know or haven't conversed with.But definitely, it's nice to be given warm wishes by anyone on your birthday. Not that I have a vested interest this week.  And sheesh! You're telling me! I even had to open my own birthday thread.  IP: Logged |
