A suitable phrase finally came to me this weekend, and I was able to lexi it.

When thinking of what phrase to lexi, I had happened to receive a 'mini-vision' in my mind. I saw a mys-elf standing in a large room of a building which I knew was a hospital. Near the corner of the room were two beds, on which two angelic helpers were lying, looking tired. They had been diagnosed with cancer. A phrase came to my mind: "CANCER NOT NEEDED IN THESE"

I decided to lexi this phrase, and this is what came to me:

DEAR ONES,
THEE CARE, THEE REST NOT.
NO REST CREATES A TEAR IN THEE; THEE ART TORN.

IN A TEAR, THEE NEED TO REST.
THEE NEED TO HEED THE HEAD, NOT THE HEART.
THE HEART RESTS NOT, THO THE HEAD NEEDS REST.

HEED A CANCER 'CARE' THREAT -
A HARD, NOT-RESTED HEAD CREATES CHAOS IN THEE.
- CANCER IS 'CHAOS' -

HEED THE HEAD'S NEED, AND REST.
REST, AND END A NEED TO DIE;
END A NEED TO CREATE CANCER IN THEE.

CANCER IS NOT NEEDED INDEED, IF THEE REST.

I feel the 'heart' here refers to our emotions, which 'head' corresponds to our mind. As we have noted, cancer seems to strike some of the most unselfish and caring people. One can imagine them to be people who feel so strongly about helping others that they disregard their own mental tiredness/ fatigue, and keep on going. I feel that is what is meant by the statement: "THE HEART RESTS NOT, THO THE HEAD NEEDS REST."

As I have explained earlier, all dis-ease has its roots in the mind and emotions. Let us try to recall a time when we were really fatigued. At those times, the mind (our head) felt really "chaotic". It is possible to imagine that a chaotic mind causes the pattern of chaotic production of cells in the body.

What do you feel about this lexi, knowflakes? Let us discuss!

For me, it has alerted me to my own patterns. I too have a habit of pushing mys-elf forward even after I am tired. Now, I am sincerely thinking of changing this pattern, i.e., letting mys-elf rest when I need it.

What I feel "rest" means here is "mental freshness", and "physical regeneration". I tried, but could not find better words to describe this.

Is it a coincidence that I could not find many words to describe rest, but can easily describe what it feels to be "not rested"? Maybe not ~ we have had far more experience of the former than of the latter. This says something about our need to follw a healthy lifestyle.

The definition of REST ...... Juniperb, I think you have something there. You meditate to rest your mind, to find *peace*. Only when it's rested, or you're *at peace with yourself* as you put it, can you get in touch with your true self - that's the *inner knowing* you talked about.
Resting your mind refreshes both your mind and your body. That's why people take vacations, don't they? So rest is also *mental freshness*. And let me see you try to physically regenerate in a stressed out, negative state of mind!! I think rest means ALL these things.
Rest is Recharging of the two parts of the Trinity that exist on the material plane and require sustained positive energy in order to connect with the Third on a higher plane in order to keep that Trinity eternally healthy.

Elohim...very good insight,very good lexi. I agree that rest is the answer....but I think rest means letting go of hatred, anger, tension, deceit...all the ugly things that make our inside "ugly", giving way to unhealthy cells. I think you have to regenerate from your spirit self outward. I think I am babbling, but I hope you can understand what I am trying to say.

Cancer has struck in my immediate family more than once, so this was a special lexi for me personally.

That is truely beautiful. s sing when you lexi. I felt shivers all over my body.

Don't you all think it is hard to truly find rest in our society? I remember our family vacations when I was growing up...sometimes it's more stressful to go on vacation than to stay home...We are supposed to run run run untill we drop and re-tire at a certain age. think about the word retire...what happens to people when they "retire"? so you "tire" your body when you are a working member of society, and then you re-tire....tire your mind? tire your soul? so that you are too tired to live? hmm. I think I need to think on this some more as I am rambling...anyone else have an idea on why you re-tire?
