Hey ya'll - I hadn't ventured onto this forum til now, but wow - I'm completely blown away.
I've picked through the threads and seen references to past coversations about lexigraming rules, but haven't had the chance to look back; do ya'll know how far I'd have to go?
Or how about sites that go into further detail? This is too cool; I'd like to know how you do just what you're doing, but I'm aghast right now. And I know ya'll are short on time (b/c everyone is in today's harried world  ), but do you see anything in my name? CORRINE LOUISE RUSSELL (It's just the 4 vowels, so it should be fine, right?) I bounced around some sites and got the ground rules down. I looked over _Star Signs_ @ the book store, but I'm still not sure I'm ready to get it (every time I'm about to buy it, something holds be back; time's not ripe yet, I guess).
Anyhoo,
I started in on my name, but I think that I've decided that it's difficult to do one's own b/c subjectivity's bound to creep in; still, here're some of the words that I came up w/

For someone who doesn't know much about Lexi's you are off to a great start.. ..The first step is odviously finding words, and yes - I had trouble with my name as well - hard to be subjective on the matter....Anyhow, I do feel intuition plays a big role in bringing the Lexi to form....Sometims the message is a little negative - I think giving us messages from the soul for lessons in this in-carnation, or clues from past in-carnations....It's important to go with what feels right.....certain words will jump at you to be included.....and so, I should have something for you by tommorow, and you can let me know what you think  You may also want to give A friends name a try, and post your results-It's really amazing stuff!!!!!!BLEZZINGs

Eh, I've always enjoyed playing with words, and I poked around this info all day whenever I felt like avoiding work (which was a good deal of time).
I'm just not sure I have the juice to trust my intuition to enough of an extent to let whatever comes up flow -
esp. 'cause when I do, I come up w/ completely messed-up stuff like this (my stab at lexi-ing my brother's name):MORE RASH MAN - NO ONE
SLASHED MAN, RAN NORSE
BADE SONS GO UNDER HELL
BED OF LORE, NO MORE 
I mean, WTF? What is that?
That's nuts, that's what. I'll thank you again now for doing my name's lexi; heaven KNOWS what I'd come up with.

I didn't respond immediately because, well, I don't know how to respond.When I read your lexis, I got chills and my hair stood on end; but I don't know what they mean. I mean, I kinda do...I do, but I'm not sure how much I should read into them.
They make sense if I go with my gut.
I'm rambling now.

I guess now I should investigate what ya'll said -
I knew/know nothing of the Essenes, but I went to a couple of sites and found that archaelogical evidence points to their philosophies relating very much to the lexis given. I felt something odd while going through that information. I've some pondering to do. PS - As for the runes reference, that could pertain to several things in my life. For one, I have used predictive rune casting before - and it seems never to be wrong. That's part of the reason I don't cast often any more. Right now I'm not sure that I want the answers given; I've not always believed/heeded them in the past. Stubborn, I guess.

Your's seems to represent the best of what I may be (if that makes any sense). It also relates to some recurring dreams I've had since childhood; they make sense when contextualized w/ your lexi.

Hi Proxieme,The feel I had was of a time LONG ago, true. It had the feel of a rebellious soul when it came to me...as if you maybe used magic or ritual of some sort but against the laws of the time. Also as if you were torn between two beliefs: one that you were taught and practiced and another that went against your currently (at the time) held beliefs but you were beginning to see the truth in. It was like you were led astray in a spiritual manner by people who were either misguided or were leading you down a path for their own purposes, but deep down you knew this and there was some inner struggle as if intuitively you knew there was a different and more appropriate path for you to travel. I had Stonehenge-type images almost all the way through. I also felt that both paths were contrary to the popular beliefs of the time and that both sets of beliefs were not going to endear you to the general populus, making it necessary for you to hide all your thoughts/practices all the time. I got the feeling that you were afraid of being persecuted no matter which path you took, which confused you even more as to which was the right one to take. Sorry I can't be more clear on this....it is just an atmosphere that surrounded the words as they came out. Very ritualistic, but competing beliefs. There was a feeling of hiding, fear, stubborness, strength and spiritualism. Maybe I should try to clarify the feel of my lexi's after I write them as they can be a little cryptic. Awesomeblossom, MM.It's very cool that you said that, b/c I had a bit of the same feeling (that is, I had a feeling that it was in the past and part of it was "preaching" - for lack of a better word popping up at the moment...and that word really doesn't quite have the tone that I'm looking for).
Uh, my explanation isn't all that clear, but what you said makes complete sense to me & to past feelings I've had.
