I'm wide awake and my mind's just busy, busy, busy!! I went to school to study film and animation. Now, in the top ten states where movies are made, North Carolina is one of them (I think at one time we were in the top three). It began my mind a spiraling (I was reading something about film a bit ago)

ANYWAY this came to mind:

CALIFORNIA is # 1 with making movies (I'll say FILM)... well, I began to look at that word and found CAROLINA in it!!!! Of course I took it a bit further and went this way with good ole CALIFORNIA (I didn't take it too far... I just kept within the "film spirit". I know there are other words in there... I just did a little lexi):

C A L I F O R N I A

N. CAROLINA FIL(M)
OR
CALIFORNIA FOR N. CAROLINA FIL(M)

Anyway... I thought that pretty neat... then I thought about the other states. I was curious - what other state names could you find others in??? Of course, not using the states having the same ending names like the Dakotas or Carolinas, etc.

Being interested in the art of filmmaking, among other things, just made this one Lexi very special to me... since I'm living in NC (and on hiatus from taking film classes) and "may" move to California... where I did once live as a wee one when my family and I were stationed in Lemoore.

Many people will say to you that California is a place where people are more concerned with their appearence. This is not true. Truth: they are there, very much so. Plastic surgery and Hollywood are major things.

But California is the place I was born and raised, and exposed to a culture where health and exercise is important, where challenging what society says is fine, where people smile at you when you take a walk (wow, I soon learned in shock this wasn't in all places of US), this is a place where to be different was OK and to explore new things was common ground. It's a land next the ocean and under the hot sun and in the cool breeze.
