I had a look at some of the messages others have received within their names, and I would love for someone to lexi my name for me. I have given it a go myself, but I think I am only revealing things I wish to hear.

Wow. Aphrodite...very interesting response. There are several interpretations that I can find from your reply but one that comes very strongly is similar to a message I found myself.
SHE HAS RIVALS
LIES SEVERS HER
IS SEVERE
REVEALS HER EVILS IS CARELESS
SHE CAVES
(IF) SHE RELEASES HER EVILS IS VILE
HER CAVES CRASHES
REALISES HER EVILS
SHE SLASHES HER EVILS - SHE HEALS
HER VICES IS HER HEALER
HEAR HER, SHE CARES, CARESS HER, SHE RISES

Some who review this are forgiven for thinking this is all too negative, but it speaks of a truth that is all too familiar to me. You may not be able to still the hurtful ways of others, revenge will only repel back your way in time, but being true to yourself realising the harm you can pose for yourself and others when you are negative, and finding peace within, will at least heal your hurt heart and clear the ills that bring you down. The mention of EVE in your message, refers to night time, when I am more vulnerable to both good and evil thoughts. Learning to hush the negative and accentuate the positive will have me seeing more IRISES & SILVER...

Hi Silver,

Yours is the first lexigram I've ever done. Irises and silver do sound lovely together don't they?

Yes, they do sound similar. Did you write that yourself?

Hi there Aphrodite,

For a first lexigram, you really had a positive impact on my personal thinking. You told me what I needed to hear at at time when much change has been needed in my life. You see I had a pretty crappy year last year, yet I had so many blessings to be grateful of. I let my own negativity cloud my judgement, my over-sensitivity inhibit my joy. When I see things from this prospective, I can create change, because my shortcomings become my responsibility. Although others can influence my destiny, how I choose to view life is entirely up to me. Yes I think Irises and Silver sound lovely together. I think I might savour some this year I do not actually have the letter "T" in my name, but could you clarify what SET, RA and ISIS relates to? I am unfamiliar with these terms/words.

Oh no! Silver has caught that I accidentally inserted the letter "T" into the lexigrams.

What happens then?

Aphrodite - that is absolutely okay about the "t." Sometimes, the druids slip an extra letter in when they are trying to steer your sELF to the hidden meaning. Relax...your lexi's are filled with magick.

Thanks Hopeful and Randall!

Silver,

Whoa, how eerie eh? Ask and you shall receive. Hmm, wonder how I got chosen to write it. I wonder what you sent out in the ethers and what made me hear it. Hmm.

I had really no idea of Set, Ra, and Isis except that they are Egyptian gods. I looked them up on the web and from the context, it is eerie how they move from darkness and hate (Set), to light (Ra) and eventually to fertility and love (Isis) in the lexigram I wrote. I did not consciously put them in that order and had no idea why I was writing them. Anywho, here's what I found:

Egyptian Mythology, religion of ancient Egypt. The religious beliefs of the ancient Egyptians were the dominating influence in the development of their culture. According to the Egyptian account of creation, only the ocean existed at first. Then Ra, the sun, appeared and brought forth four children, the gods Shu and Geb and the goddesses Tefnut and Nut. Shu and Tefnut became the atmosphere, Geb became the earth, and Nut became the sky. Ra ruled over all. Geb and Nut later had two sons, Set and Osiris, and two daughters, Isis and Nephthys. Osiris succeeded Ra as king of the earth, helped by Isis, his sister-wife. Set, however, hated his brother and killed him. The powerful charms of Isis resurrected Osiris, who became king of the netherworld, the land of the dead. Horus, the son of Osiris and Isis, later defeated Set and became king of the earth.

Set: Egyptian god of chaos who embodied the principle of hostility if not of outright evil. He was associated with foreign lands and was the adversary of the god Osiris. Seth was usually depicted in human form with a head of indeterminate origin, though said to resemble that of an aardvark. He had a curved snout, erect square- tipped ears and a long forked tail. Sometimes he was represented in entirely animal form with a body similar to that of a greyhound. He was said to be the son either of Nut and Geb or of Nut and Ra, and the brother of Isis, Osiris and Nephthys. Nephthys was sometimes given as his consort, although he is more commonly associated with the foreign, Semitic goddesses Astarte and Anat. Despite his reputation, he had an important sanctuary at Ombos in Upper Egypt, his reputed birthplace, and had his cult was also prominent in the north-eastern region of the Nile delta.

For a time during the third millenium BC, Seth replaced Horus as the tutelary deity of the pharaohs. However, the story of Seth's murder of Osiris and subsequent war with Horus gained currency and Horus was restored to his original status. The war with Horus lasted eighty years, during which Seth tore out the left eye his adversary and Horus tore out Seth's foreleg and testicles. Horus eventually emerged victorious, or was deemed the victor by a council of the gods, and thus became the rightful ruler of the kingdoms of both Upper and Lower Egypt. Seth was forced to return the eye of Horus and was himself either castrated or, in some versions, killed. In some versions Seth then went to live with the sun god Re, where he became the voice of the thunder. In the Book of the Dead Seth was referred to as the "lord of the northern sky" and held responsible for storms and cloudy weather. Seth protected Re during his night voyage through the underworld against the Apophis-snake. On the other hand, Seth was a peril for ordinary Egyptians in the underworld, where he was said seize the souls of the unwary. Among the animals sacred to Seth were the desert oryx, crocodile, boar, and the hippopotamus in its aspect as a destroyer of boats and of planted fields. The pig was a taboo in Seth's cult. The Greeks later equated Seth with their demon-god Typhon.

Red of hair and eyes, pale of skin, Set is the god of evil, of drought, of destruction, thunder and storm. Set tore himself from his mother's womb in his hurry to be born. Every month Set attacks and devours the moon, the sanctuary of Osiris and the gathering place of the souls of the recently dead.

Ra: God of the sun; sometimes identified or considered synonymous with Atum. Ra created man from his tears. At one time Ra became so disgusted with men that he ordered Hathor to kill them all. This Hathor did with such zeal that Ra took pity on men and ordered Hathor to stop. Crazed with blood, Hathor ignored the order, and Ra resorted to chicanery to save humankind. Ra mixed beer with pomegranate juice and left pots of the concoction about the battlefield. Thinking the mixture was blood, Hathor drank it greedily and got too swacked to carry out her mission.

Ra is the son God from very early times.
He took on many of the attributes and even the names of other gods as Egyptian myths evolved. A good example of this is the god Ra and Amun merging to become Amun-Ra or Ra and Horus combining to become Ra-Harakhty.
Father of the first divine couple, Shu and Tefnut. Grandfather of Geb and Nut, whose children were Osiris and Isis, Seth and Nephthys. Called the creator and father of all things, he was chief of the cosmic deities. Early Egyptian kings alleged descent from him. The most important Egyptian god during most of Egyptian history was Ra, the god of the sun. For the sun itself powerfully represented the stability and underlying rationality of the universe in its stable and regular journey through the sky during the day and through the Underworld during the night. Ra was swallowed every night by the sky goddess Nut, and was reborn every morning.

Isis: Isis is the daughter of Nut and Geb. Sister of Osiris, Nephthys, and Seth. Wife of Osiris. Mother of Horus. She is one of the earliest and most important goddess in ancient Egypt. She was regarded as the feminine counterpart to Osiris, a role she probably occupied before the dawn of dynastic Egypt. No other Egyptian deity has stood the test of time as well as Isis.
Her cult was not extinguished with the other Egyptian gods, but was embraced by the Greeks and Romans, her worship has even lasted into the present day. She was revered by the Egyptian people as the great mother-goddess and represents the maternal spirit in its most intimate form. She is often seen suckling a young Horus. In the Osiris legend she is seen as a dutiful wife, a grieving widow and as a protector of the dead.

As a winged goddess she may represent the wind. Isis was a great enchantress, the goddess of magic. Together with Thoth, she taught mankind the secrets of medicine.
She was the embalmer and gaurdian of Osiris.
She is often rendered on the foot of coffins with long wings spread to protect the deceased.

Thanks for that Aphrodite!

Eerie as it may all seem, it does make sense to me. A past experience where a rumour was exposed in my home, resulting in a lot of stress, and the miscarriage of my twins, comes to mind again. I had already had 3 very healthy children to a previous relationship, so I was shocked to have lost my twins. Following this I faced a period of great loss of confidence, infertility and chaos. My partner and I grew more and more distant. A dream moved me from the dark to the light. A fascinating dream that lifted a dark presence in my womb. I was holding someone's hands. They were warm, but suddenly I was unable to breathe. Something told me to let go and stop gasping for my life, which I did. Hovering high up in the air, I felt a wave flow through my body and then a intense, sharp pain in my stomache. A dark mist emerged from my stomache and floated away. The hands turned ice cold and let go of me. Next I found myself seated, with a lady. She had restraints on me. She said,"I've only got them there in case you start freaking out. If you are comfortable, I will remove them". I calmed down, she then removed the restraints and I woke up from my dream - breathing so calmly, it was like I was given a new lease on life. Three months later I was pregnant. I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby boy in December last year.

Fear of failure, saw me retreat into my cave for two years. It took that dream, for me to be able to accept the loss of my twins and let go of my fears. Perhaps you were called on to do a lexigram for me, to remind me of this. Your gift is something you should be extremely proud of. For this young lady, you have presented some real answers to my current problems. THANK YOU APHRODITE.

Silver,

You are very welcome. I am glad I did yours first. I appreciate the feedback. It sounds like you have overcome an incredible time and found your way back again to believing in miracles.
