I am sad to say that LL has grown into a place in which I feel I can no longer participate. I almost left a year ago due to the events involving YIVY and others, but I stayed to try and lend "hope" where I could. I have now reached a point where the negative energies that reside here are affecting me too greatly, and so I am leaving.

There are several good souls here that I will miss. Should you have an urge to look me up some day, you'll find the druids still speak to me now and then as "IRIS" at YIVY's new home - The Spiral Path. IRIS is the goddess of the rainbow, the symbol of hope, and I remain...

But Hopeful isn't leaving...

I too visit The Spiral Path just as often as i come here...and it's a wonderful place. I've heard several people say something about some sort of rivallry (*spelling*??) between here and there - and i find it quite upsetting... surely the two sites stand for the same purpose? And really, should we not see them as not just two, seperate communities, but as one fantastic avenue of truth and retreat for us all?!
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this matter - and i hope something more positive can develop, without falling into an earhtly debate...

Love, light and hugs to you all - W Grace xxx

Hopeful

A million things I wish to say, if only they would change your mind, but I can feel they will not.

The energy in this place is cyclic, always spiraling towards growth. I am afraid the negative energies are a normal part of this process, and I am saddened that you have been overtaken by them.

Thank you for everything you have contributed here. I have learned more from you than you realize, and I will miss you greatly.

Of course, I occassionally post at TSP, so I will make an effort to pop in more often, because of you, when I can.

I hope that at some time in the future you will come back to this place ... I will be here, waiting. Perhaps you can pop in here from time to time?

Love to you, Hopeful. You will be missed.

Walk in Peace

Stella, I would rather not have a link posted, since there are still bad things said about Lindaland by a few members of their site. One of the worst strings (a really nasty one) was locked and eventually deleted, but there are still several scattered here and there. I can't in good conscience endorse a site and send our Knowflakes over there to be subjected to that. I rarely go over there for more than a few minutes, because the vibes are just not my cup of tea, but to each their own. I do wish Hopeful all the best. She was a great point of Light for Lindaland and unselfishly gave her all for us, but she is probably more in tune with that site since her good friend (YIVY) is there, and I would never want her to be here if she is unhappy. She will be sorely missed.

Here's an example of what I was referring to:

Well, I really really hope nobody who wants a true reflection of Linda
Goodman ever goes in there... I haven't been in since I left AGES ago, as I
couldn't stand the vibes in there anymore... I left as quietly and kindly as
possible, and have never dissed the site, but I do believe Randall has lost
the plot completely.

His site is a bloody INSULT to Linda Goodman's memory...

I don't actually think Linda Goodman was anything any more special than a
lot of you folks in here... sorry if that offends anyone, but she was, after
all, only Human like us... she had her baggage, and she (I'm quite sure)
didn't walk ALL of her talk... otherwise she wouldn't have DIED!

Bless her heart

I hope common sense prevails, but as I've always thought, By Their Colours
Shall Ye Know Them, and their true colours are truly emerging now...

Love and Light... grrrr

Jools

A little herstory Lesson: There used to be a site called EndlessPath started by a few Members from the Official Linda site who became disgruntled with Greg for a number of reasons (none of them valid). We said some not so nice things about Greg, so he would always delete any links to us that came up on his site. I mean, why should he endorse a place that speaks ill of his site? I fully agree with that line of reasoning. Then, when I opened this site, several Members of his dissed us. Greg even joined in the fray. We, at this site, took the high road and didn't react; we responded with Love and Light (except for a few comments here and there). That's the bad thing about a "mob mentality." It can be contagious. Both Greg and I have been a part of it. But now we are a partner of sorts with the Official site. We both do what we can to keep Linda's flame burning. A little Love and FORGIVENESS goes a long way. Now, after running my own site, I realize how difficult it is and that Greg wasn't censoring us--he was just ensuring that his site stay centered on Love and Light. I learned a lot from him. He has been my greatest Teacher, and I respect him more than he could possibly know. I would Love to have the same kind of fellowship with TSP, and they could definitely benefit from it in many ways (we had one and a quarter million hits last month), but they are not ready to let the past go. By the way, Greg's site is at: www.consciousevolution.com and you can also find his fabulous Linda Banner on top of many pages here.

Upon introspection, I realized that you are all adults and should make up your own Minds. Sometimes I get defensive and try to protect Lindaland and each individual Knowflake, but Lindaland is a fortress. Linda's Spirit keeps us out of harm's way, and even when we are attacked it seems our star just gets brighter. So, I shouldn't always try so hard to protect and defend Lindaland. It seems to have a Life of its own! I'm utterly amazed at how this site has grown seemingly all on its own. I mean, we started with just a few people, and somehow just grew. The Knowflakes do need to be able to keep in touch with Hopeful (who has given so much to Linda's legacy). So, although this is not by any means an endorsement, there are some very good people at TSP, like YIVY and several newbies who found them via the EZ-Board search function who know nothing about the past (and it should probably stay that way), so I suppose one link wouldn't be out of the question. Thank you for all you did for us, Hopeful. The druids are proud of you for your selfless contributions, and I know Linda would be as well.

Great, Randall!
I believe disagreements, and people coming and leaving and hopefully coming back again is just part of what makes a site alive and growing.

Thanks, Ruby.

Yes, Stella, you are correct. We had several leave a year ago, yet once it happened, the site grew exponentially. Go figure! Anywho, people seem to come and go. They get something their Spirit needs and then leave. Some return, some don't. It's all part of the evolution of the site and each other. The main thing is to stay high on the search engines, so the newbies who just read their first Linda book can find us.

Wow. I'm pretty novice in the realm of message boards, this is the first one that I've ever spent considerable time on one.

I hadn't thought about there being such drama between the different boards..but then where there are humans, there will be drama I suppose.

I just wanted to say that I'm really happy to have found LindaLand, despite a few tiffs here and there, I really like everyone here and have learned something from everyone.

Hopeful, though I didn't really have an opportunity to get to know you, I'm sorry that you feel the need to leave.
Bright Blessings to you on your path!

I have a confession to make: I'd never heard about Linda Goodman before this site was recommended to me by Bissie, whom I met in another (astrology) forum. Since, I've read two of Goodman's books (only!), and I found them absolutly fantastic (though I do disagree on some of her thoughts). I've understood that some of you guys have a very strong relationship to Linda Goodman and find it important to keep her memory and her ideas alive. For me - and I believe I'm not alone here - this site is a great forum for discussing dreams, astrology, healing and other stuff I'm very interested in, whether it's along Linda Goodman's line or not - I don't really care (OK, some of you might want to kill me for saying this). It would be very boring here if we all were similar and had the same thoughts and same opinions!

Randall - i have never before seen anyone step on their own feet as many times as i have seen here.

'Jools' - the writer of the post you so willingly displayed earlier... is very VERY close to me - closer than you could EVER know. And now i will eat my own words - because i feel extremely offended - and i'm certain i have a right to express how i feel.
Yivy and Isis are also two VERY good friends of hers - and i'm sure that they wouldn't see any good in your posting of the above message, either...

Dare i say i think it's cowardly...?

I really hope that everyone reading this thread with no previous knowledge of the situation ever takes it at face value. Rumours, opinions and other people's stories can be deceptive - to say the least. Especially when you only see one side. And personally, i HATE disputes - and all my life i've gone out of my way to avoid them - but this i'm afraid, is one of the rare times i can't, and just WON'T, stand back and ignore - because someone i care about with all my heart, someone i'd willingly DIE for, has been involved - and they didn't need to be... I hope most of you can respect and understand that.

I'm so sorry it had to be this way - but i won't be returning here...
THANKYOU so much to the ones who helped me in the short time i was here - i couldn't ever tell you how much one particular bit of advice i recieved helped...

Love and light and peace to you all - and i hope you ALL continue to grow above and beyond the true, beautiful, loving souls you already are

Wiser Grace

You are correct, Wiser, there are two sides to every story--and the other side is plastered all over the aforementioned site. Wiser, I didn't post anything secretive. Anyone can find it (and a lot worse) on the site plugged above. If Jools wrote it as a rash act or didn't mean it, she could have changed it or had it deleted. What's more cowardly--my posting what I found on a public bulletin board of what was said about us, or saying it and then becoming angry because it was quoted? Courts have determined that Administrators of bulletin boards are legally liable for libelous statements made on their boards (and whether the statements made are true or false, if negative and adversely affecting reputation and character, courts have determined such statements to be libel). Let's not sugarcoat things, Wiser. A lot of the people over there think very little of us and are quick to speak their Minds about us, exercising total Freedom of Speech (if you know what I mean). Why can't people just be honest? When Isis left here long ago, she claimed she was leaving all discussion boards, because school was taking up too much of her time. Well, at the same time she was saying her pleasant, Light and Love goodbyes here, she was badmouthing us with her comrades over there. If I sound bitter, I don't mean to, because I'm not. Just stating the facts. I could be wrong, of course, but that is not my definition of Love and Light, and I don't think it is for most people. I do respect your loyalty to your friends, and I understand your position. You were a bright star in your short stint here, Wiser, and although I may not agree with the behavior of your friends, I do have much respect for you and wish you all the best.

Stella, you are such a dear.

Yes, we have had a few find us who have never heard of Linda until they got here. A lot of Linda topics are Uni-versal in nature. And no one has to agree with everything Linda said. Her friend, Aselzion, surely doesn't. And Linda herself even said not to! May I ask which two books you have read?

Yes - i'm picking up on a slight bitterness!

And i'd like to believe that you are sincere in what you say. But surely - when painting a picture of the situation to other readers (for whatever reason you felt you needed to) by copying and pasting a posting from another site, you'd at least keep it anonymous?! I see no other reason for you keeping the name on there other than out of some degree of spite.?.and i didn't think spite had a place in this forum...

My first post on this thread was purely to bring attention to the fact that as a whole - the two sites stand for the same beliefs and reasons... No particular individuals should ever have been brought into the firing line.

Sorry, once again, for the negativity (i'll do my best to put it in a bubble and pop it!!!)

(and a quick correction on a typo in my previous post, because i can't leave it! - 'Isis' should be 'Iris' - sorry!)

I don't wish for this to dwell, though - and i will put my energy into hoping that peace will settle quickly again xxx

Thank you for being cordial in your Posts, Wiser. No, I do not at all think you are being negative. I appreciate your tactfulness and your calm way of presenting your thoughts and opinions without contaminating Lindaland with undue negative Energy.

Oh, IRIS, not Isis. Well, that being the case, yes I very much value the ONIONS of both Hopeful and YIVY. I think highly of both of them. I suppose I could have kept the Post anonymous, but as I said, it's easy to find it on TSP. Nothing secretive about it. It was actually just more-or-less a random quote I found when trying to post an example of why I cannot endorse their site. Wouldn't it would be foolish to send unknowing Knowflakes to a place where they are welcomed with supposed Love and Light only for them to come across such negative comments about the place that sent them there? Maybe you should read more closely some of the strings there. I am personally brought into the "firing line" many times. (Trust me, I know. I've made copies for my records.) Don't you see my perspective? If there is any bitterness, it is in those whom cling to the past instead of accepting olive branches. :insert dove smilie here:
