Lexigram: The Twin Towers

ee h i n o r s ttt ww

The short sire wont to show his teeth
Sore in his ire, he thirst to show others
To hit The Twin Towers, throw white west into riot
Their rotten short sire to shine

Tether sitter on rein
Sworn to show no hint or interest
To nest in honest host towns
Sitter hone, swot notes, (and) stow store

Sitter sworn to heist
Son sent hither to site
He shot into Tower One
Other heir sworn to site
To steer nose into Tower Two

Seen on shore, Towers shorn in two
Tense, twist, stew (and) totter
Tons (of) hot stone into ether
Shower stones strewn on town (and) street
Town thrown (into) riot

West hit with woe
Hornets nest rose
Went to short sire to win

wlorac -

QOS - I can't wait to see what you get from this!

I'm adding it to my list! Should be interesting.

Anyone else want to give it a try?

wlorac, I came to an embarrassing conclusion just before I posted this. While your lexi was The Twin Towers, I thought it was The Two Towers, ie the Tolkien book and movie. This happens all the time!

Well, since I went to the trouble of lexing this, I hope no one will mind if I post my results anyway. Sorry wlorac, I'll try the correct thing next.

The Two Towers

EE H OO R S TTT WW

S.'s WORdS SOW WOE
TREES SORE AT S.
THEY ROSE TO THE TOWER, ROWEd iT
WOE TO S.

WOE TO THE TWO TOWERS

Letters not contained within the subject are in lower case.

'S.' could refer to Saruman or Sauron, but in the above case is most obviously Saruman. The 'trees' are the Ents, who attack Isengard and trap Saruman in his tower, Orthanc. Saruman's power is broken by Gandalf; eventually, Saruman escapes Orthanc, but is murdered by one of his slaves. 'Woe to Saruman' is certainly accurate.

'The Two Towers' could refer to Orthanc and Cirith Ungol, or Orthanc and Barad Dur. The phrase 'Woe to the Two Towers' is accurate either way, since Orthanc was captured, Barad Dur destroyed, and Cirith Ungol cleaned out at the end of the Third Age.

Well, that's my lexi. The wrong lexi. Hope I'm not looking as laughable as I feel.
