Prologue: Being a native Russian speaker, I was always annoyed that in Russian the word "marriage" - 'brak' - has a second meaning of "flaw, defect". So I always spoke up about English, where the word "marriage" seemed to be very neutral.

Lexigramming: MARRIAGE

(you) RAM (this) AIM (which is a) GRIM MIRAGE
(full of) GRIME (where you)AGE (with) RAGE (and) RARE (people have) AIR.

So, whenever you find a mate, definitely don't call it marriage.

PS. The part my husband liked about it is that MARRIAGE contains GAREM.

PPS. This is one of my first Lexigrams, I am still on it - just couldn't help but gasp at the results.

Okay- how about we go with "matrimony" instead? Does that get better results?

Marriage

Grim mirage or Rare Gem?
rage mar(s) the air
grim marriage mire(d) (in) ire/grime
aim air [higher]
image a(n) aria g{l}eam {of love}
a gem a g{love}
marriage {o love}
re{vel} m{ore} ra{ve} R{O}AR
re{ve}a{l} {love, lore)
re{ve}a{l} rage (as) a {L}iar

I took the liberty of coding my lexigram to show my thoughts. () indicate addition of letters to show meaning [] indicates what I meant by something and {} indicate the addition of love. The true outcome is revealed by the entries with {} which only proves that a marriage without love is a bad thing but marriage with love is not
