Hi everyone!
I have been gone for a while ... but I'm back now.

I don't really know if this is the best place to post this, or even if anyone else has mentioned it somewhere else, but it's what felt right.

Apparently, the British government has plans to construct a road (4 lane) in the area immediately around the Stonehenge World Heritage Site. The proposed plan would not alter the standing stones, but the area around it would be greatly affected. Here's a link: http://www.savestonehenge.org.uk/homepage.html

Anyway, I just thought that, because of the "word" value of this great structure that Linda hinted at in Star Signs ... well, I just figured it would be of great concern to most, if not all, us Knowflakes.
I'd really like to know your reactions to this ... musings, ideas, ways to help ... especially any lexigrams that could throw some much needed Light on this issue.
By the way, I'm outraged!

Good Grief! I'm outraged too Eleanore. And stunned. Let's hope wiser heads prevail. I've never had the pleasure of seeing Stonehedge in person although I've been there many times in my daydreams. Are there any limeys around that might explain what the hecks going on over there?

The same is happening with Tara Hill in Ireland for the M3 roadway. Local druids and irish residents have been and continue to protest. They have recently been successful in getting Tara listed as one of the most endangered sacred sites in the world, but it's more of a delay tactic. They still need help in preventing further development of the motorway through the hill. Please visit savetara.com for more information and to sign a petition.

It's nearly a pandemic for all sacred sites around the world being swallowed up by growing communities and big corporations building right over them.
