I know a lot of people (women especially) feel that way about their MIL.

I'm pretty lucky. I get along very well with mine. She's like an extra mom and a good buddy rolled into one.

The interesting thing is that she's a Cappy. I don't usually get along all that well with Cappies. Well, the diplomat in my can get along with ANYONE, if I so choose. BUT Cappies just don't seem get me... and vice versa. I have't looked into her chart. I bet if I have a look I'll find some cool stuff that points out why we're so close and seem to understand each other so well even though we are SO different.

I too have a mother-in-law from hell. In time I learned to stay clear of her and to laugh to myself about her. She is a very funny woman, ever if I am the only one that sees her that way.
