I kind of wish I never found out about lexigrams because I named my son Eli, which is "I lie" and I can't think of anything else. My name is just as horrible.
Kristin

Kristin is sin. that sucks.
I know about the no or not but what about isnt?

Kristin isnt sin? Kristin is sin.

Crap.

Suicide is "I die" I am sure someone has thought of that, but it just came to me the other day. Pretty simple explanantion.

Gold is "old God" That is interesting to me.

So anyway, I am doomed, are there any good lexigrams in our names?

Oh.....

One of my husband's lexigrams is "my soulmate" Now that's a wonderful one!

Help!

Welcome to Lindaland and Lexigram Magic, haybelly!

Have you tried looking at your names completely? First, last and possibly middle names? More words available usually clarifies that kind of thing.

And still, not every word has only one meaning. "Lie" has many meanings and interpretations. Look at Linda's example of the word "BELIEVE". It has the word "lie" but it also says "BELIEVE EVE LIE" ... which she explained as revealing the idea that Eve (of biblical fame) was not truly the terrible female she was made out to be ... believing the "lie" about her would be believing her to be innocent. Many examples and interpretations for any lexigram. I really feel that no one is literally doomed because of lexigrams or any other divinatory method.

LEXX has a great thread around here somewhere about various word meanings, I'll see if I can dig it up.

haybelly!

Lies/lie are VERY COMMON and rarely mean much if anything when found in names. Please do not be concerned. Also as Eleanore said, what else is in your names?
Here is my thread under my old name plus there you will find links to more. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/001635.html

Play with your FULL NAMES at
http://wordsmith.org/anagram/advanced.html

go to advanced anagramming to get you Lexigram words FREE!
Do not worry about how many letters you have...
You have them use them!
Add none, remove none!
As far as your name....
you have such words as
STIR SKIRT IRIS
Your son has
EL
which is another name for God!
He has
LEI
a necklace of flowers!
And he has
I LIE
Does he lounge about, lie/lay about?
Lies and lie are not always a negative thing.
Perhaps he hates people who lie or will.
Look again using your full names.

Wow! There are a lot of words with our names! Some good, some bad, and some just don't seem to be real words!

Very cool! THANKS

A lie isn't always a bad thing. Don't you "lie" about your age, since you spiraled your age backwards by ten years?

A novice, dabbling with the luring world of lexigrams, the first word I found in my husband's full name was MISER.

I conclude this is because there aren't enough letters to make 'generosity bordering on foolishness'.

Then I found AVERSE and ADVERSE so as a combination we are getting something more representative. But I did use all the letters of his name ~ including the bits of his name that only go on official documentation.

Blue moon!
I got a chuckle out of this:

Free easy way to acquire some of the words!
WORDSMITH
Once you have your words and are freed from the time intensive effort of finding them (and with no added letters not from your name/whatever you are Lexigramming)...
that is when the magic of Lexigramming truly begins!

Thanks, Lexx!

Though I quite like the intensive effort of finding the words. It's the librarian in me.

You are welcome!
LOL! My husband was a librarian and is now a Librarian Tech.
He writes programs for various functions for librarians/libraries.
I read dictionaries for pleasure.
I too enjoy the intensive search but use not only my mind but several dictionaries, thesari, and so forth. While I do have a fairly extensive vocabulary, I am not so vain as to think I have one large enough to do justice to Lexigramming.
When I need a word but the one(s) I want are not actually found in the name/word/whatever I am Lexigramming...
I turn to my dictionaries and hunt for synonyms and or rare archaisms if needed.
I also use spell checkers.

Happy error free Lexigramming!
