1. Do you believe in such entities as word druids?

2. Do you believe words have actual souls and are conscious?

3. Do you believe word druids created the English language?

4. Do you believe that English is the first human language and
that ALL other languages came after it?

5. If you do not believe, tell us why please.

Please give explanations for your replies,
not simply a yes or no reply,
nor "because LG said so".
Prove your points if you are able to do so.

What are YOUR OWN answers/beliefs?

I see where my former answer about word druids may have been confusing. You asked, "Do You believe in such entities as word druids."

I believe in an entity that is sometimes called the muse. Some things that I have written I do not recall writing. It seems as though they wrote themselves, and just used me to get through. So, if you mean, do I think there are little people living in my typewriter, no, I do not.
I do believe though, that some force does lurk around me at certain times, while writing.

2. Do you believe words have actual souls and are conscious?

Science would have my a$$ if I said yes. I think words can only have the life that the writer/speaker put into them, however, some written and spoken words were so powerful, that they still resonate today, and in THAT way, they do seem alive. A word cannot, in itself, have a consciousness.

3. Do you believe word druids created the English language?
Umm, no. I'm certainly not a historian, or a linguist by any measure, but, I always assumed that the English language evolved from other languages. Sorry, I can't back that up at the moment. Too much going on in the house for me to do a lengthy research on that.

Good answers! Will return and reply in full soon, I hope. Things are chaotic here at the moment.
