So Sanchenuss, what is the deal with posting that bogus question?

OK...that is a rational query.
Why do you think you chose it?
What were the "triggers"?

I wonder if it was a past life memory...and a name that sounded like that.
Let me ponder awhile on this.
I have a few ideas.....thinking back to ancient Greek and Latin names and etymologies/derivations.
Have you tried Lexigramming it?
Try running it here for some possible insight. http://wordsmith.org/anagram/advanced.html

OK....
here goes....
How does the name
Sanche Nuss
as two names, not one, sound to you?
Together they do spell
Sanchenuss.

As two separate names it means basically:
"sacred" and "the divine one of Nysa"

Now I am even more convinced this is a possible past life name, or a name you liked.
More here on the etymologies of

Sanche Nuss.

The boy's name Sanche \s(a)-nche, san-che\ is a variant of Sancho (Latin), and the meaning of Sanche is "sacred".

The baby name Sanche sounds like Sauncho and Seneca. Other similar baby names are Sascha, Sandie, Sacha, Pancho, Sachie, Sante and Santee.

Sanche is an uncommon first name for men and an equally uncommon last name for both men and women. (1990 U.S. Census) http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/1/Sanche

Surname:
Nuss

This famous surname recorded in almost every European country since the late Middle Ages, and in such forms as Dennis, Dionis, and Denes, with patronymics Addionisio, Denisov, and Dzeniskevich, is of pre Christian, Ancient Greek origins. It derives from "Dionysios" meaning "the divine one of Nysa", a reference to an early god, who was believed to be the protector of the vine. It is also said that Nysa was a mountain in the modern Afghanistan, where celebrations were held by the Greek army of Alexander, The Great. Whilst St Denis, the bishop of Paris, France, was an early Christian martyr of the 3rd century a.d., it must be said that like most surnames of Christian origins, the "modern" surname owes its popularity to the famous "crusades" of the 12th century, when successive European kings launched expeditions to free the Holy Land from the Saracens. All were unsuccessful, but returning warriors and pilgrims commemorated their exploits by naming their children after ancient or biblical heroes, some of whom only had the very faintest of associations with Christianity. The first country in the world to adopt both hereditary surnames and proper register recordings was England, and it is there that we find the earliest examples of this surname. The first recording of the family name anywhere in the world and in any spelling is believed to be that of Walter Denys, a witness in the year 1272, at the Assize Court of the county of Staffordshire. This was during the reign of King Henry 111 of England, 1216 - 1272. Throughout the centuries, surnames in every country have continued to "develop" in their spellings, often leading to astonishing variants of the original.

Oddly you are like the 20th. person to ask me that question within the last week or so.
I am still working on a succinct and basic primer so that even those who have no idea what a Lexigram is and how to create them, will be able to understand the process.
(yes, it is a logical process, whether mystical attributes are applied to it or not)
I will post the complete basic primer ASAP!
For now a few points:

Lexigramming begins firstly with determining what your "source" will be.
Source=the name, phrase, title, date, you want to Lexigram.

Next;
do you want to acquire your words on your own, with a limited vocabulary compared to any dictionary? (that is normal, as virtually no one has a vocabulary on par with any dictionary)

Or;
do you want to go meticulously through dictionaries and thesauri to find words which can be found within all the letters, (both consonants and vowels) within your source?

Or
do you want to skip coming up with words on your own, that can be formed from the letters of your "source"
by using a generated word list derived from the letters of your source?

You can of course use all three methods of acquiring your word list of words found within your source, using the exact letters of your source in the available numbers of each letter.

Wordsmith
is a generator for Anagrams (mostly awful ones or nonsense ones with letters left over)
However you can acquire a list of words to use when Lexigramming by choosing the following from the menu:
1.Word/phrase to be anagrammed:

2.Generate anagrams in this language:

3.Display maximum, this many anagrams (choose amount from drop down menu)

4.Show candidate word list only

5.Show anagrams in
lower or uppercase (choose your case)

6.click on the "find anagrams" button.
you will NOT get anagrams following the above instructions, but will acquire a reasonable word list from whatever you typed into to the Word/phrase to be anagrammed section, to use for Lexigramming.

The next step is to try and arrange the words into sentences to create a story, or a poem.
However, even as stand alone words, the individual words can have meanings to you.
One need not create an actual Lexigram to derive meaning from the individual found words.

Feel free to ask any questions!
There is no such thing as a stupid question.

Sanchenuss
you said:
quote:
A new name that came to me "Diaphylis"

I wonder if you are playing with me...
however, I will play along for now.

Perhaps you mean dia·physi·al or diaphysis, pertaining to the shaft of a long bone, between the epiphyses.

Or dia which is: Greek:
dia "throughout"
dia- "across, out"
dia- "across, between"
dia- "apart"

Plus:
Phyllis,
Greek generic female name
from;
philos "loving"
philos "dear"

-phile
L. from Gk. -philos, common suffix in personal names, from philos "loving, dear," from philein "to love," of unknown origin.

Which would render the meaning of YOUR word;
"Diaphylis"
as loosely meaning;
everywhere is love (loving)

or reversed;

quote:
love is everywhere

Everyone is a teacher...
Everyone is a student...

Im not playing with you at all. I really appreciate your research. Last night I found another greek mythos connection. The story of Phyllis. There was a name associated with her that was spelled something like Dioamophen, which is strange and awfully close to the prefix. Also, DIA stands for the defense intelligence agency. These names are just floating down and Im pulling them out of the air yet they all have meaning. Its weird.

This stuff is too weird. I just read this about Ariadne, the immortal wife of Dionysus: Theseus in return promised to marry her (Plut. Thes. 19; Hygin. Fab. 42 ; Didym. ad Odyss. xi. 320), and she accordingly left Crete with him; but when they arrived in the island of DIA (Naxos), she was killed there by Artemis.

The more common tradition, however, was, that Theseus left Ariadne in DIA alive; but here the statements again differ, for some relate that he was forced by Dionysus to leave her. According to this tradition, Ariadne put an end to her own life in despair, or was saved by Dionysus, who in amazement at her beauty made her his wife, raised her among the immortals, and placed the crown which he gave her at his marriage with her, among the stars.

http://www.theoi.com/Georgikos/Ariadne.html

ARIADNE A Princess of Krete (in the Greek Aegean) who was discovered and wed by Dionysus on the island of DIA (Naxos). She became his immortal wife and bore him a number sons: Eurymedon, Thoas, Staphylos, Oinopion, Peparethos, Phlias, and Keramos.
http://www.theoi.com/Olympios/DionysosLoves.html

His (Dionysus) main cult centres were the island of Naxos and Mount Kithairon in Boiotia, the latter being the seat of his Orgies.

Then the story of Phyllis was a greek mythological love story about a woman named "Phyllis" who hung herself, like Adriadne, because her lover did not return like he promised.

This is yet another name that seems to be associated with Dinoysus which "randomly" came to me.

That is fantastic, LEXXX! What is your interpretation of all of this? Sometimes my judgement is cloudy because I am looking at it from my own perspective.

Also, do you mind me asking what your personal interest in Dionysus is?
