Lindaland Central 2.0 or Hearth And Home probably. I like all the flavors. Around Easter, they have many new flavors at Walmart.IP: Logged |

So when I was about 12,
Sister was about 11
Brother was about age 9.
Brother about age 8.
But the stresses of our impoverished
and crowded home lives wore us down

Snow would come through a crack
in the window that that bed was up
against.
Many times wake with snow
melting on my arm or even face.
The bats use to actually hang out
of the ceiling over the foot of my
and a stepsister's bed.
At least they ate bugs.
All that did not help any of us
to get along.
I usually did the Cinderella thing
and slept in the dirt floor cellar
attending the old Bessemer
furnace that heated the 200 year old early colonial run down house.
Sleeping on the coal piles and wood
stacks I had cut down and I had
dragged like a horse and harvested
from the woods half a mile away.
I sawed and chopped and the coal
I loaded into the cellar coal bin
became my Cinderella bed.
Potato sacks and a tatty army blanket
were far better a bed than upstairs in
the crowed smelly room with 5 other
girls, most bed wetters.
It was nasty.
Hard to be loving happy family
living like that.
And oh lucky me at Sunday night
bath time.👽
I had to bathe the younger kids
and then after all 9 were bathed or had bathed,
I was allowed to bath in their
filthy
peed in water.👽
So I used to bathe in the creek
leeches
and all
or take extra showers dUring
study hall
when the locker room was empty.
There were 2 half siblings.
Never got to know them well as
when I left home and became an
emancipated minor age person,
they were ages,
Half sister about 6 years old.
Half brother about age 4.
Then there were the spoiled
group of step siblings.
Sister about age 11 when left home.
Sister about age 10 when I left home.
Brother about age 5 when I left home.
So except for a few rare and memory
precious times and all,
no, I did not get along with my
siblings.
Happy Days and Walton's and
Brady Bunch or whatever we were
definitely not.
Life was drearily hard to
say the least.
I have not heard from most of them
in some 14 to 35 years or so.
I watch them secretly in Facebook
when I can.
Being eldest was not pleasant.
I got teased at school for smelling coal
Black and wood smoke.also ashy hair and clothes.
At least in Shimmer I could bathe in the creek and under the rain gutter downspout.
I actually rather enjoyed the rain gutter shower after the pigeon poo washed out
first of course.

I must have been a happy child.
Mostly was only happy when
I was safely away from my family then.
My biological mother was extremely abusive.
Not getting into that here.
That was before the step siblings and
half siblings and stepmother that

very short for now.
Probably will not succeed.
In a nutshell several including my mother
and stepmother too
and any siblings except the dead one
and the crazy hermit one,
have made death threats because of several issues which we radically differ in opinion
or belief.
We had for example when seeing our wedding pictures.
We had two best men and no others except

marriage ceremony person when we got married standing on the lake wearing flowing long caftans.
We were all wearing these caftans
which my family called dresses and
then the homophobe death threats begin.
We were forever banned from attending
any family reunion or gathering of
any kind.
They said they do not want to be near disgusting queerrs like us.
Well actually in betwixt death threats
the words screamed at us were much
nastier and rather terrifying to hear.👽Add in they love killing creatures for killing sake and some love killing cats
and most are various levels of religious fanatics in oddly a few different
religions.
Politically and socially the things
they endorse we could never endorse.
Too much hate and bigotry and all
from them.
Add in all snobbish and well off and
or wealthy and most into drugs and
some alcoholics or worse,
at least one on Heroin.
We avoid them because frankly they are
creepy and not nice people and dangerous
gun lovers.
That is the way it is.
Nothing we can do about such as them and
nor do we have any energy to waste on such nasty people. Yeah that old saying that Blood is thicker than water....... Well water can flow freely but blood
can clot up and cause death. So we chose our real family members
whose love flowed freely
like clean water. Sadly all our chosen family close
by have died off.
The others live far away and have
their own lives and show no real
interest in us,
nor do we in theirs.
We are poor and again they are not.
There is no way to have any realistic relationships.
We are so far below their lifestyles
they cannot even imagine what our
lives are like.
Like years back being sent some huge
crate of frozen food and meats.
They never even thought did we have
a freezer to hold it all.👽
No we did not.
So we had to eat it up fast and the cats feasted too.
People assume we have home and resources
as they do.
A common thing we have repeatedly heard is that
You two are both so smart and intelligent
and college educated!
How can you possibly be poor.
Yeppers...they also assume college and
all we could never afford.
Plenty of MENSA folks out there living in poverty.
Not all of had a way to climb out
of poverty.
That is just the way it is. Sigh.
Just have to accept they ways things
are and avoid the nonsense. Okay rambled and ranted again.
Yes I could have just said no to your question but that seemed to be a
sweeping it under the rug reply. Okay must go.

Most people do have family they can
count on.
The several family members
I was close to have long
passed away.😞
My husband has the same problem
and worse because he was an
only child.
So all the relatives he was close
to were few and they have all
passed away too.
His friends too have either passed
away or moved very far away.
We are in essence two recluses
who love each other's company.💖💕😎
With COVID these days physical
contact is to be avoided.

but aside from my husband here is my
only real sense of any family.
