I am planning to move to the coast of Georgia after I have my baby in August. Does anyone live in this zone (zone 8)? and could tell me about the gardening season there? I am currently in zone 6, so I am excited to be extending my time enjoying the warmth of summer by a bit IP: Logged |

Hi,The only thing I remember about zone 8, is that you plant very early. You are coming from zone 6, which is what I live in and instead of planting in April or May, you would plant is Feb. and March. And depending on how close to the coast you are, you could probably put things out after new year. I wish I lived in zone 8, you can grow everything from palms to orchids outside. How wonderful for you. skywych IP: Logged |

Thanks for posting that. Now I know I live in zone 6. Not too bad. I like to have most of my plants indoors anyhow I can see them more often that way. Who wants to go admire their outdoor plants in the rain?!IP: Logged |
