quote:
Perhaps she is the Lakota White Buffalo Calf Woman or the Hopi Spider Goddess. To the Sumerian she was Inanna. Among the Assyrians and Babylonians, she was called Ishtar. Likewise, she is Shakti the Hindu transformer, or the beautiful snake goddesses of Crete. Whatever her name, she holds the spiritual and elemental power within you and years to be recognized and summoned forth.

This one reminds me of ... me for a couple of reasons, one of them - I am a Snake according to the Chinese Astrology.

I've always resonated with Gaia. I tend to be quite motherly. I'm a fixer by nature, and a helper.

When I pray, I pray to Gaia.

My favorite Gaia statue:

I couldn't take the test; the questions were too gender-biased.

It's interesting how those believing in the Divine Masculine leave out the feminine and those believing in the Divine Feminine leave out the masculine.

It's kinda silly, really. In my mind Divine Masculine and Feminine are one... we are all the Divine Masculine and Feminine. We were created in the likeness of God, were we not? We all posess masculine and feminine qualities... so, clearly (to me, anyhow) God(dess) must represent both masculine and feminine. Not one or the other.

This is one of my biggest problems with organized religion
