Hi Juniperb,

For you moonglow garden, I'd create an outdoor room. First would be a fence set in a half moon shape, with silver lace vine growing on it. Then I would bring in snowball bushes to fill in the other half of the moon shape. At the doorway, I'd plant lunaria, mums and yarrow. On the outside of the circle, I'd plant annuals in pastel colors to reflect the moonlight back to Her.

All of those plants grow in zone 4 30-20 degrees below zero. I live in zone 5 20-10 below.

Another neat idea, is to plant sunflowers in a circle. Not just one row of them but several. Tallest to the inside, shorter outside. They come in so many different colors now. Last year I planted the Monets and Moulin Rouges and wow they were gorgeous. Make the circle big enough to get a couple of chaise lounges in there and you can sit back and admire your handy work.

Best wishes, skywych

Skywych, Oh how beautiful it sounds. We made the coolest willow weaved fencing and it would be perfect for it

I grow standard sunflowers for dried seed for the birds in the winter. I love the Monet and Razzmatazz for color and fun. I think the Italian White will go perfect in the moonglow garden!

I love moonflowers and they reseed so well. I will also add Dusty Millers, White Queen Caladium (sun tolerant) and a white Clematis

Wonderful suggestions and thank you!!!! I`ll keep you posted.

Thank you very much,

I am glad you liked the idea. When I was working the greenhouses, I was the lucky one that got to do a lot of the design work. Sometimes when I would be blue, I'd ride around the city and look at all of the pots and landscaping I did. Makes you feel good to know that you helped to improve someone's life in a small way.

Thank you again, skywych
ps good thinking on the moonflowers!

The garden is starting to bud out

It may need a soft pink or yellow to contrast it. Suggestions?
