I broke down my lilies (potted) that are done for the year . I'm always sad to see them go. This is the first time I've ever dug into the dirt and broken up all the clumps of bulbs. I found all kinds of teeny tiny little itty bitty baby bulbs. I even squealed with delight. They're so cute! Anyhow, I'm wondering... Will these little guys be big lillies next year?... or do they need time to turn into big bulbs first? There are hundreds of them. I swear.. not exagerating. They've been in pots for between 2 and 3 years. I suppose it's about time I broke them up. I'd like to give them away as gifts, potted and purdy, if they will grow to be lillies next year. Whacha think? IP: Logged |
