I'm not sure what this has to do about anything, but ...I live in Atlanta. The skies here are almost always criss-crossed with vapor trails from jets, both commercial and military. For a month there have been none. Not one. No one notices until I point it out. Any ideas? Are there tracks in the sky in your neck of the woods? This is starting to bug me. IP: Logged |

Very interesting. Indeed! ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. Hm.I live in a place where I don't really notice them usually (too many helicopters)...but my fam's all up in DC (which is buzzing with contrails on an ordinary day). I'll scope them out. IP: Logged |

Early last week, I woke up and saw a bunch of criss-crossed contrails in the sky. I live between Akron and Canton, in Ohio. Angela IP: Logged |

Glad the whole country isn't seeing a decline.------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." So, my question is, why are there trails in Cali and Ohio, and not here in Atlanta? ... (at least not at the moment) IP: Logged |

I actually looked up contrails on the I-net a year or 2 ago, and it does have something to do with moisture in the air. IP: Logged |

Contrails------------------ The river runs swift with a song, breaking through all barriers. But the mountain stays and remembers, and follows her with his love. Rabindranath Tagore IP: Logged |

GWEN hmmmmmAccording to a 1982 Air Force review of biotechnology, ELF has a number of potential military uses, including "dealing with terrorist groups, crowd control, controlling breaches of security at military installations, and antipersonnel techniques in tactical warfare." The same report states: "Electromagnetic systems would be used to produce mild to severe physiological disruption or perceptual dis- tortion or disorientation. They are silent, and counter- measures to them may be difficult to develop." God ... they're brilliant, aren't they? IP: Logged |

Yes, I have noticed what I have come to know as "contrails". I live on the edge of the Pacific, right next to an old abandoned Army Base.I have often observed cloud-like trails in the sky overhead. Definately not generated by your usual Jet... silvermoon
