Being that we have a '63 Bug and'll soon have a '67 VW Bus, we're scouting for a roadside assistance club.

I finally came across the one that I think we're going to go with:

They have comparable services to AAA (I won't say "exact" because I don't think they have as many hotel discounts) and price-matching but don't have the gross lobbying practices (do a search - AAA's slightly evil).
They also donate 1% of annual revenues to environmental projects.
(Here's how they do that: http://www.betterworldclub.com/about/foundation.htm )

I'm an NPR junkie and I heard about this through Car Talk...and because I did, I clicked on their link and found out that I can get 10% off a new membership

(I think that this is on top of their $40 in free gas coupons...not sure, though...will have to research.)

"There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll
