Tonight I weep and She weeps with me What was once fertile, voluptous, beautiful Is now sad Dry Cracked and Old.I have thought more than one time that the "natural disasters" suffered by our Mother Earth are her way of crying out. Her way of telling us--too much---stop---help me! In South Central Texas we are in a horrible drought. Our aquifer is struggling to keep up with the demands of an ever-growing community. Gaia's life blood is being sucked out of her with little care from the very ones who could save her! My lot, almost .33 acre sports 50 some mature Oak trees and it is a beautiful lot! I have, however, let my yard go. Never being one to water much since I have lived here (I hail from Ohio where you can actually walk in the grass!), it is just too hard on the aquifer to keep up a green, plush yard in this part of the country, but yet people do. MY yard has the bare reminants of grass roots, but is mostly dirt. I do, have the satisfaction, however of NOT depleating our resources and doing MY part to save this earth. She will never last forever at this rate! I am asking for prayers, spells and any suggestions to draw the rains to us. Thank you all in advance! Terri IP: Logged |

We are on the 2nd day of rain over our Aquifer recharge zone. Still dry at my house, but the recharge zone is the most important thing cause it is where we all get out water down here!A Wiccan friend on my myspace, promised a blessing and inferred rain in the next day or two (and that was yesterday!) Never ??? the power of magic! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! Terri IP: Logged |

------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |
