What a Gorgeous New Years Day it is, today! January 1, 2007.

The weather is warm, the sky is robin's egg blue, the birds are happily chirping and singing their hearts out in great numbers; it is as if Winter ended yesterday and Spring began today!

The energy feels so good today!

HI!

It was like that here in south Texas on New Years Day as well and today is a replica!!

Though my house is cold---nearly froze last night and I live be-neath a canopy of live oak trees, I have built a fire in the fire place and have warmed the hottub on my deck outsied and today, 6oish or not, I am going to get in the tub and FLOAT!!!!!!!

I miss the snow of the north from where I hail, but days like today..........

ahhhhhhhhhhh~~~~~~

Blessings

Terri

We have a hot tub, too, but I haven't gone in since before Christmas. Just haven't felt like it. Thanks for the suggestion, maybe tonight!

I threw my lower back out really, really bad, so I was not able to go in the hot tub. My Chiro said I can't go in for 3 days.

This time is really bad......have to keep icing and doing stretches. Going back to Chiro tomorrow.

I'm not allowed to use heat yet, because it is inflamed and heat increases inflamation.

He said I could only use heat for like 10 mins., so it's a waste to turn the hot tub on and use it only for that short of time.

Probably in another 2 days I could use it. I have been stretching 4 stretch sessions a day and it helps. Went to the Chiro Fri. and I'm going back Mon.

Neph

I am a RN and understand the physiology/pathophysilolgy of physical ailments-----

Heat may not be good at this point because heat opens the capillaires and thus increases blood flow to the effected area, however heat brings with it healing......., cold constricts, clamps......

However, the healing effects of water need be not stated~~~

Maybe a sit in the tub, with the turbulents of the healing water, not so hot, just tepid enough to soothe the soul and body...

I am always promoting the ancient Astrology of elements and symbolism~~~

Have you ever heard the old adage' "get back to you element~~~"

Blessings

Yeah......I could probably start using the hot tub at this point, but now we have really, really cold weather........ (my little fish pond froze 2 mornings in a row!).........so I would have to be pretty brave to go since our hot tub is outside,........and it's really cold in between bathing suit, robe, air and hot tub.....if you get my drift!

My back is getting better though! Thanks for asking.

I'm beginning to wonder if we are going to have a winter at all!

Wow, Randall! Still warm over there, huh?

Have you heard/seen about the midwest with their ice storm? how horrible. At least we have electricity here with our freeze. We have "freeze" 3 mornings in a row now. By 4 p.m. a huge chill arrives so we have to make a fire.

I even heard Las Vegas is getting snow and I didn't even know they get snow!

Randall~~

Where you be???

Me...down here deep in the deart of Texas is FREEZING!!! Old Man Winter has extended his icy claws unto we sun worshippers!!!

Funny, I was born in northern Indiana, grew up in Ohio and moved down here when I was 16. Still miss the snow, on occasion, but geez---when that sun shines---

O, my~~~~

Terri

PS Neph, as a RN I heal the soul first then the mind then the body, if that is was has been chosen by the spirit and I see SO many back problems and heart problems as well. I wonder if in our society if we are not "carrying" too much and hurting in our hearts too much???

OMG Terri, you hit it right on the mark. Of course, this world is so crazy, and we have so many hard lessons........so we "carry" so much!!!!

I didn't know you get cold & snow in Texas!

Randall, Wow. We had so much frost this morning, it looked like it snowed. Even the *sides* of my car had frost! My little fish pond has froze 3 days in a row! Poor little fish, but they hibernate!

Geeezzzz

Cold, snow??

We, have been frozen in for the past two days, fortunately I have been off work, go back tomorrow, kids have been off school.

Having 4 dogs inside is making me INSANE!!

As is sit here on my computer looking out onto my front yard, ice is melting as it has reached 34 deg, cars are moving again.

Am SO worried about mu roses. They can handle a freeze, but been iced over for a couple days, I don't know~~~

Snowed just a few miles north of here and even in the valley, by the US/Mexico boarder, it reamins in the 30's with ice.

Neph, watch the back and try getting back to your sun sign element~~~

I spend hours on the beaches of Texas or floating in my hot tub~~~Pisces sun~~~and I find it not only healing to the body, but to the soul~~~

Terri,

Sorry to hear you are having that ice storm too! It's just terrible what we see on the news!!! Thank God you have electricity.

We had a freeze several mornings in a row. Last night we had snow in some locally high mountains. Today we have a GORGEOUS warm day, lots of sunshine, breathtaking blue sky!
