Hi guysI am now convince that lilies are the most wonderful flowers in the world ( my opinion, of course). Their scent is so out of this world that everytime I smell them I am transported to another world altogether.

Oh, I LOve Lilies, I wrote about them in Universal Codes, under artlovesdawn's topic...and I have one tattoo..
it's a lily. ...
they smell heavenly... .

Which Lillies? The Easter Lillies don't smell. (the white ones with the yellow cone in the middle). Can you post a pic? Mmmmm I want to smell them, you make them sound so good! Sounds scrumptious!   IP: Logged |

I used to work in a greenhouse where we grew Calla Lilies.  It was there that I discovered it's magical scent. It was so delicate, unique, intoxicating and elusive. I was in love! I would go down the row of barely opened young flowers smelling each, because I noticed that after you smelled a flower, it's scent was diminished for awhile. It was like it was all used up and you had to wait for it to replenish itself. So fascinating! I adore lilies!  IP: Logged |

OOOO I love lilies too!! I have those orange daylilies in my yard that bloom later in the summer. Then, I have this different variety that only gets a few beautiful reddish orange blooms then dies. I like the daylilies best, because they keep blooming til fall. They grow along the roads here too.Melanie IP: Logged |

The best thing is when you have lillies in the house and you walk through your house late at night, or early morning, and you can smell them infiltrating the air! Ahh...IP: Logged |
