It *is* 53 degrees here right now, but I'll refrain from jumping up and down with joy until the REAL Minnesota Harbinger of Spring comes around: the streetsweepers!!
When they start sucking up all the sand that was laid down on the streets for traction during the winter, THEN I know Spring is really here
Not all the snow has melted yet -- we still have piles of it in shady places and north-facing slopes.....

A foot of snow?!?!? Passed us by -- it's beautiful here, altho 38 degrees
The spring snow's sure to melt quickly tho, with the Sun getting "closer" by the hour to warm up the northern hemisphere
All the dirty snowpiles have melted now, except for the really humongous ones at the edges of the store parking lots.....

I posted some pretty pics of trees in bloom in the Just A Tree thread -- perhaps that will help you (and the robins)

PS: I bought vegetable seed packs at the store the other day -- the kid and I are going to try having a container garden on the driveway
I have several big oak barrel halves for pole-beans and maybe peas, and we're going to dig up the "ubiquitous pink things" next to the house for a lettuce, zucchini and broccoli patch. Wish I knew what the "ubiquitous pink things" are -- they're perennial bushes that don't get any taller than about 3 ft, and have clusters of small pink flowerlets. The leaves are small and a very light green.....

My bad Z, it blew in from Kansas & Ok.

Sounds like a fun project!!

Are the bushs spirea or potentilla?

spirea japonica

some are pale pink with round or flat heads.

You got to think pink here

They are 2 of the most common foundation shrubs around these parts.

Now to go see your beautiful trees

Juni!! You are amazing
That's the thing -- stupid little bushes, they're NOT pretty, they're insidious and take over the patch of ground, they're somewhat prickly, and did I say they're not pretty??
Mine are a dusty pink, and although they're a great moisture retention device close to the foundation, the spot where they are is just about the only area that will suit for vegetables.....

Thanks for the ID

hmm, the bush looks like ancient spirea that needs more sun & a good feast of poo

Veggies any day over scraggly bush`s!

I have peonies on the mind today so here is my double pink offering:
