Its a cold October night and outside the frogs are singing. I call it singing because lady frogs are drawn irresistibly to it What do they sing about? its not mating season? that ended months ago for them, maybe they're singing about the coming winter??

Yes maybe so.? I wonder what frogs in India say? English frogs say "Ribbit Ribbit" Its a nice sound to just listen to them, also the drone of cicadas, natures music. IP: Logged |

LOL. Yes i love the music of nature too. We have some parrots around, flocking the almond tree and a small bird with thin black beak that makes a very sweet and loud sound. Its very loud for its size. The cacophony these guys make!!! IP: Logged |

There are escaped and gone feral parakeets that fly in groups over my town occasionally & I live out in rural Hertfordshire, they look so exotic Also just the general chirping hubbub of sparrows, I love that too. IP: Logged |

The sparrows here I think are making a comeback, they were at really low numbers about 7 years ago.It was sad, because when I was a little kid I used to listen to them on sunny days & then they were virtually all gone. But this summer there was a couple of families nesting in my garden. I gave them bread scraps every day and later on they would fly down with their young ones to eat . IP: Logged |

Then you might have noticed what their young ones do. Here their family swoops down in our balcony for crumbs. And these young smarties come all the way near the plate but won't eat by themselves. Their mom or pop has to actually pick up the crumb and shove it into their open mouths. To think that we humans think only our kids make all the fuss. And they are so great that if one of the parents picks a crumb or two for themselves the youngsters keep chirping for more and wont let them eat. So they have to stop eating and start feeding them. The only thing singing here is my tea kettle on the wood stove... Brrr all birdies & frogs are hunkered down waiting for this cold snap to break. ------------------ Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. ~Rumi~ IP: Logged |
