Well, I just bought grow boxes, as my friend suggested cuz he said bugs would eat the garden if it were in the ground. I want to start with easy things and I guess I would like greens because I like to put them in juice. Any suggestions?

Also, if you have grow boxes, I bet you can't plant roots like carrots and beets. Would this be right?

Youre asking the wrong person! Brown thumb over here.

Hopefully not this year though. Have been researching and learning more recently.

Some homegrown beets would be nice.

I want a big cherry tomato bush as well. With some serious effort and a bit of knowledge, I bet I could have a nice little one this year. Will give it a good shot anyway.

I hesitate to point these things out anymore.

The one in H&H should be here too. I can't remember who Mods there and is able to move it though.

oh, it's aquaguy - or he's the only active one, I think.

I'll let someone else point it out, or move it.

Yes, I have been cutting off a big leaf and peeling it and putting it in my juicer with oranges. it is not bad, for how good aloe is for you.
I use it as a moisturizer on my face, every day, too.

I really enjoy growing herbs to make herb infused olive oil tinctures.

My goals this year:

-enough from the garden to can 20 jars of tomato sauce

-one gallon basil infused olive oil

Do you drink it from the actual plant? I am trying to find ways to make it palatable. Orange/carrot juice seems like the best. Someone figured that out, not me

I've tried many, but this is the brand I recommend most:
http://www.aloeforce.com/

It's great in most any kind of juice.

I go outside and pick one and put it in juice. I wonder if you can juice the peel on it. Do you know, T?

Just bought seeds. I am so excited. I am going to have a herb garden, too. I feel so much more whole since I started just my aloe garden. I save all the vegetable scraps, soak them and then water the garden, the next day with them. I think it is so satisfying, in part, because of my earth void. I am like a helium balloon

I'm not sure about the peel. Either way, I bet you are benefiting from aloe's healing properites of which there are many.

I've been saving up my coffee cans to start my herb garden.
