I have Okra plants growing as big as bushes but I could not find the okra. Today, I saw an 8 inch on and picked it. That is amazing that Okra gets this big. Did anyone know that?------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

It's not slimy if you cook it right. On the other hand, the sliminess is a plus with gumbo. IP: Logged |

Dip in a 50/50 mixture of flour and cornmeal and fry to a crisp. No slime and flavor like you wouldn't believe. IP: Logged |

You know you love okra when you bring some of the best fried okra around home and offer it to share it with someone and they exclaim that they don't eat "fried snot!"........and you almost puke, lose your appetite for a moment or two.....then get over it and proceed to dip it in dressing and eat it by yourself. I also love the seed pods in it - favorite part. Not to mention it's just plain tasty expecially with a good roumelade or just ranch dressing and/or hot sauce. (i didnt know what okra was until i lived in Virginia and found out. Happens to be a popular side dish down south as well) IP: Logged |

I wish I could take pictures for you all. I used to have a program for pictures in my lap top. When it died, I don't think I saved the disc and so I guess i can't use my phone for pictures. Is that right? I am kind of a boob on the computer IP: Logged |

I wonder how big Okra can get. I am bad leaving juicy okra there and waiting for it to get big. The last one missed me. That is why it got so big ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/
