Are any of you composting? We have a tumbler for fresh kitchen scraps and a 3-pile rotation system going for tumbled scraps, yard waste, and chicken bedding. This is the first time in my adult life I've been in one place long enough to actually get it going, so it's very much a learning experience for me. ------------------ If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device. I've been trying, in a large bucket. I wanted the proper bin with worms, but couldn't afford it, and I doubt everyone else would have been up for it. IP: Logged |

How's it worked out? Have you had any problems with pests?Re: worms: I've seen some DIY vermiposter tutorials around. I'll dig one up if you're still interested - composting with worms is cool ------------------ If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device. Here's a good one if you can dig up a few opaque storage containers: http://whatcom.wsu.edu/ag/compost/easywormbin.htm ------------------ If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device. Please excuse all outrageous typos and confusing auto-corrects. IP: Logged |
