I am finding very cool uses for them, too. Basil is a super anxiety reducer. It can feel like a tranquilizer.

Wow I was thinking of Basil when you wrote that
I'm not much of a herb person just maybe basil and kaffir lime leaves or even curry leaves.

You take some minced meat and fry them with basil and some chillies and fish sauce - very scrumptious ;o)

Is lemongrass considered a herb? I'm in luv with that at the mo! I have oils in that and lemongrass drinks are great too

Wow --do you grow curry? I never heard of that?
Just bought a kefir lime plant. Excited about that.

Lemongrass is a great one, too.

Wow, I saw some on Amazon that looked good.

Do you buy plants off Amazon and eBay? Never heard of that! Why don't u go to a nursery to get them?

Curry leaves aren't really sufficient for making curry but they add a certain taste to it, and smell exactly like curry

Lemongrass is a great herb ! But I have no clue how they make the drinks at the Thai joint I visit. It takes more than boiling. They do juice it.

Oh btw I use ginger also. I think it's a herb too. Ginger drinks are the best for the solar plexus

I've taken liking to coriander too. They're great with ramen noodles . Chives also great for wraps/dumplings.

What about you? What type of herbs do you recommend?

I go to the nursery, too. Amazon and e bay have ones I don't see at the nursery like horseradish, stevia etc

The horseradish is amazing. It is a leaf and so good in salads.

I bought coffee plants too but they take a long time to grow beans.

You should check out Amazon for the variety they have.

I got my 3 noni trees from e bay. They are not sold around here.

I have my eye on a cocoa plant on e bay.

As far as hebs, I love basil in juice cuz it really helps anxiety.

I love stevia the best of almost anything in my garden because it is sweeter than sugar and no calories and totally good for you.

I grind it with coffee beans for a turkish coffee. It tastes like the turkish coffee I had when I was in Israel.

You can put it in a tea ball and the sweetness with come with brewed tea.

I love so many herbs--orange mint, spearmint, peppermint, spicy oregano, cuban oregeno. Cuban oregeno is gorgeous and grows like a bush.
Check out pictures of it on Google.

Padre told me how to make oregano oil. You put it in olive oil and leave it there for several months. Always cover it with olive oil or it will mold.
