I just picked a lot of Cuban oregano from my garden. It grows like a bush. It is green and white and looks like coleus.Anyway, Padre turned me onto one of the best things I have ever made in my entire life. You chop the oregano and put it UNDER the olive oil. If it is not covered, it will mold. You leave it for a month and you will have a gourmet treat. It will make anything great like cooked veggies, salads or anything at all. ------------------

Ditto for any herb infused oil AA, once exposed to oxygen it tends to go bad. If one has a bottle of olive oil, simply pour it out into a container, insert oregano, then pour the oil back into the bottle covering the oregano. Can be used for basically any herb. IP: Logged |

Need to point out IF you add lemon juice to your infused oil and let it work for a day, you can then freeze the oil for later usage.IP: Logged |
