I planted winter wheat today, I thought scorpio sun Cancer moon maybe this will be a good idea. It's my first time growing grain. Good luck with your Kale. IP: Logged |

I have grown Kale and my children and their friends enjoyed Kale chips all last winter. The Moms cannot believe their kids are eating toasted vegies and loving it.I only have 4 raised beds that are 4x8 feet. This summer we had many herbs, asparagus, peppers, cherry tomatoes, blueberries and strawberries. This fall I planted onions, shallots, leeks and garlic. Arugula, and need to find more Kale. In addition, I have been propagating some of my favorite roses. I hope to put in 5 more beds next Spring and produce more of my own food. I do a lot of experimenting. I am seeing if I can grow my own grain over the winter and store it for the year and grow vegies and fruits in the summer. I fear the GMO and pesticides. I live in the Northeast and have been reading Eliot Coleman's "Four Season Harvest". IP: Logged |
