I was tidying up my allotment today,I found this old seed head of a leek on the ground, which I cut down and forgot late summer.

The winter has so far been quite mild and the dead leek head had shedded its seeds, with about 50 tiny leek plants springing out of it which I took home and planted up.

If they grow on I am sorted for leeks next year

Hill or mound soil around stems several times to blanch as leeks grow. (A single large hilling while plants are young can cause them to rot.) Or, place a portion of cardboard paper towel center around the lower part of the stem.

If you already grew it, you knew that though.

"Baby leeks"
Use a diaper.

Sorry, just being silly as I peruse old threads.

Glad you like it. Sometimes I'm the only one that appreciates my humor so I refrain from blurting it out a lot.
