The periwinkle colored one looks like a lilac, but different?

My friend just gave me some more Forget-me-nots from her garden to transfer, and some lilac clippings as well. So far, I don't know if I did a very good job of replanting my poor little Forget-me-nots. I hope they fare well.

I dug some out of my herb garden (they just sort of pop up around here), and replanted them on the other side with the flowers. The ones from my herb garden seem happier.

I guess the crocuses are gone, I'm not sure what these purple flowers are that are trying to bloom... I didn't plant this garden, and tried to leave as much in place as I could when I went through and cleared out the grass and weeds, so...I get to learn something new every time a different flower blooms!

There weren't many places to plant my beloved lilacs, so I planted them by the old wooden fence in the back. Not a ton of sunlight there, unfortunately, but probably enough to get some lovely blooms at least.

I think that lilacs are my absolute favorite, as far as scent. Ahhh, I just find them so heavenly.

Yes, these are the Wild Lilacs.

When riding through the woods these will often come home as haloes.

quote:
Jennifer Juniper lives upon the hill
Jennifer Juniper, sitting very still
Is she sleeping? I don't think so
Is she breathing? Yes, very low
Whatcha doing, Jennifer, my love?

Jennifer Juniper rides a dappled mare
Jennifer Juniper, lilacs in her hair

Is she dreaming? Yes, I think so
Is she pretty? Yes, ever so
Whatcha doing, Jennifer, my love?

I'm thinking of what it would be like if she loved me
You know just lately this happy song it came along
And I like to somehow try and tell you

Jennifer Juniper, hair of golden flax
Jennifer Juniper longs for what she lacks
Do you like her? Yes, I do, sir
Would you love her? Yes, I would, sir
Whatcha doing Jennifer, my love?

Jennifer Juniper, Jennifer Juniper, Jennifer Juniper
Jennifer Juniper vit sur la colline
Jennifer Juniper assise trs tranquille
Dort-elle? Je ne crois pas
Respire-t-elle ? Oui, mais tout bas
Qu'est-ce que tu fais, Jenny mon amour?
Jennifer Juniper, Jennifer Juniper, Jennifer Juniper

That one might:

quote:
"Wear Your Love Like Heaven"

Color in sky, prussian blue
Scarlet fleece changes hue
Crimson ball sinks from view
Wear your love like heaven (Wear your love like)
Wear your love like heaven (Wear your love like)
Wear your love like heaven (Wear your love)

Lord, kiss me once more
Fill me with song
Allah, kiss me once more
That I may, that I may
Wear my love like heaven (Wear my love like)
Wear my love like heaven (Wear my love)
La-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la

Color sky, havana lake
Color sky, rose carmethene
Alizarin crimson
Wear your love like heaven (Wear your love like)
Wear your love like heaven (Wear your love like)
Wear your love like heaven (Wear your love)

Lord, kiss me once more
Fill me with song
Allah, kiss me once more
That I may, that I may
Wear my love like heaven (Wear my love like)
Wear my love like heaven (Wear my love)
La-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la

Cannot believe what I see
All I have wished for will be
All our race proud and free
Wear your love like heaven (Wear your love like)
Wear your love like heaven (Wear your love like)
Wear your love like heaven (Wear your love)

Lord, kiss me once more
Fill me with song
Allah, kiss me once more
That I may, that I may
Wear my love like heaven (Wear my love like)
Wear my love like heaven (Wear my love)
Come on
Come back

Okay, as I walked my daily Rose Path, I was Radiant to find:

More than Seven Rosebuds on one plant!

For a plant that is less than a foot tall and on its own feet, that Is a find.

Wow! We have something sort of like that trying to happen between our two cherry trees, but the weird metal arch they put up (and tied to the poor trees) isn't doing a very good job of holding up whatever vine-ish plant that the previous owners wound around it.

I have no idea how to fix it, but I would like to remove the metal arch.
I already cut it free from the cherry trees (poor things), but they had it tied with zip ties, so it really cut into their growth.

I think I will post a picture here and see if you can help me, Ellyn.

It doesn't bother me one bit that these guys are invasive. I love them, with their bright, lovely yellow flowers. I wish we had more around our fence and driveway. There are plenty on the other side of the back fence, growing along the road of course. But only one lonely little fella out in the front yard.

But a walk in the woods fixes that.

Is that Scotch Broom?

I used to think of Robert Plant-a-Genista every time I saw those.

Yes. Aaahhhh, so pretty and bright. Why am I not getting the Robert Plant reference?!

Maybe it's been too long since I've watched the old videos or listened to the albums. But I used to know a lot of that stuff by heart.

In other news, can you tell me what these lovely, lavender colored flowers are?

They're normally standing up much straighter, and look more like little trumpets calling out to the Sun. But it's been raining lately, so they're a little sleepy now.

Something to do with the origin of the Plantagenet Line.

Heraldry itself, as well.

(Did you know that he has been Knighted?)
