What are some beginner things I can do to live a more green lifestyle and care for our planet? It wasn't a priority in our household as a child (My family is from India- we lived very simple.) So I can recycle, I know that. What else would you suggest for someone just starting off?

Welcome dreamscomeslow!
If you use clemical enhanced cleaning supplies, small start up would be to dispose of them and use natural products.

The same with gardening ,lawn supplies and most of all your pet food (if you have them )

Welcome dreams...

Well, just changing your mindset to caring is a big first step. It's all easy after that.

Conserving natural resources is an easy save-money way to start. Only use what you need, no more than that. Only buy what you need, dispose of what you need to, utilize what you need.

You would be surprised how much waste we are all capable of producing. Composting is so easy. If you do not have a yard or garden, find out where your town's compost dump is and drop off compostable waste there.

doing things with other people, where you are adding up,
making something where you feel, that it makes sence

having moments of affection, be it with a plant, with a dog, or with a human

interact more with nature, walk barefoot in the forest.
Lao tse wrote about this, saying that wise man use moments of nature and quietude to obtain wisdom.
