I am sprouting chia seeds hoping to grow them for smoothies. Anybody tried this before?

I used to make grilled alfalfa sprout and Monterey Jack cheese sandwiches on whole grain wheat bread I made from scratch-- a long time ago!!
My stomach can't seem to digest sprouts anymore... They were soooooo yummy!! and FUN to grow. You could practically watch, as they grow so quickly. All kinds of sprouts. Have Fun with your Health Smoothies, Rheanna!  IP: Logged |

Now I understand why Randal said chia pets! Thx Mirage.It seemed that I mislead you guys...I sprouted them so that I could grow them for chia leaves smoothies. Today I planted them. Hmmm...maybe I will make a second batch of sprout for sprout smoothies!!! Faster than leaves smoothies....

Randall, I never grew chia. The weirdest thing I ever did--maybe---  was make my own Kombucha--fermented tea. I went crazy with it and had it all over my dining room. It looked like a big, nasty blob on top of the tea and people would say "Whaaaaa" when they came in.------------------
