When the heart has already experienced so much and this blow where it was given so freely....finally feels like all that can be taken?

How do you mend a broken heart when you wanted so much to understand, but the person in question could not...or would not explain?

How do you mend a broken heart when all you ever really wanted was to find the one to love?

When life is so lonely?

Thanks, Peri

The advice Iqhunk gave me has helped a lot too.

I know how you must be feeling, at least I know a similar feeling. The key is to pretend that it's already better, that it's already healed, and that your life is wonderful and incredibly happy. What you expect in life is what comes to you. If you're viewing yourself as having a broken heart, then you feel hurt and unloved, but if you view yourself as pursued, loved, desired, appreciated, that's what will be drawn to you. This may sound callous because, no, I have not had your exact experiences, but yesterday the man I've loved for almost five years, the man I was engaged to for 14 months, told me he was no longer in love with me. I cried, yes, but I'm fine now merely because I changed my perspective.

If you haven't already heard of them, I would suggest reading the Abraham books such as Ask and it is Given. It's not astrology based but it's very useful and if you've read Star Signs you'll understand what it's about because Linda references some of the same theories. You control your life, and you choose how you feel. I hope that I've helped you and that you can be happy again as soon as possible.

Ahhh.... you can't.

Time is the only healer.

That, and finding someone better, but this isn't something you can depend on.

Just be miserable! But let other people try and cheer you up. Good friends and relatives should do.

And with some people there is just no answer!! Infuriating. But everyone thinks and functions differently. What seems inexcusable to one person seems acceptable to another.

For those of us who care so much about love, life often seems lonely. The more you want to find love the more continually disappointed you will probably be.

Yet, on the upside, I don't think anyone stays miserable like this forever... more ups and downs. No one does die of a broken heart... and humans are incredibly resiliant.

Good luck.

LTT,

I'm sorry you're going through something.. I don't know the details of your situation, but did have this thought to offer. As I've been learning recently (have a thread in Lindaland Central), the only way to deal when things get this painful and beyond your control, is to detach, to take some time out for you. If you can have some space from this relationship to get _you_ back, it will help you immensely. If he won't talk now, giving it some space will give him time to think things over, and perhaps create the needed change. I've been doing Venus' meditation posted in this forum, and it's helped me so much.

Hope you feel better,
Sunshine

I believe (after having a broken heart for 3 years I thought I'd NEVER get over) that after time has passed you will hopefully come to the same realisation I did.

I realised that before I had loved I had never thought it was possible to love someone like that, and surely out there someone is a man who I can love who will love me in return without the hurt. Because I loved once I know I'm capable and are looking forward to it again.

Love and light xox

Time, LTT.

It just doesn't hurt so much with time. And falling in love again is always good, but you have to be out of love with the other person first before you can love again, I believe.

I just wanted you to know I was thinking about you.

Thank you wheelsofcheese. I'm feeling a lot better now than I had been when I wrote that. Although I'm not quite over it yet, I'm realizing that I'm not alone, that just because things didn't work out between me and him doesn't mean everything in this world is doomed as I had felt when going through that. That was just obsessive thinking. I feel like I am receiving unseen assistance which is helping to guide me along my path. I have a deeper sense of knowing that a sense of "wholeness" can indeed come from within by changing the way that I think and by choosing to live my life in the name of love and service to the whole.

I shall still have to work at climbing the mountain though.
