T O P I C R E V I E WGabbyI know the 5th house in gemini or saggy maybe aquarius to tend to be a bit hard to pin down....esp if they have any planets there.I have an aqua 5th house, its empty tho! I need alot of alone time, and it takes me along time to feel someone is really someone i would want forever. Until im completely committed, in love and have know i have found the one....until then im always going back n forth wondering what i feel for them....but with my 8th house taurus i eventually get to where i want and need someone close and go with it and stay with it!Ive known 2 gemini mars in 5th gemini house, they were eternally single, never settle down type guys...but 8th house in virgo allowed them to be so picky they felt justified because nobody was ever good enough.Recently met a taurus 5th house guy with his juno and saturn in his 5th...hed been married 4 times and had numerous children. He had no issue marrying people, even if he knew it was just an affair he would marry them because he got so lost in love...but it wasn't enough to keep him faithful! His 8th was in leo...he needed ALOT of attention if someone wasn't giving him enough attention and compliments he went elsewhere! His vertex was in his 8th house also...i guess thats not good for relationships either!Doux RêveThere are lots of things to consider..First of all, elements. Fixed energy is usually more comfortable with commitment. Mutable energy would rather be - or *feel* - free, especially on the ASC/DSC axis. Then there's the condition of the DSC ruler. Where it's placed, how it's aspected. If the DSC or the DSC ruler are stressed, there may be negative associations with relationships. If the Moon is afflicted, family life/emotional closeness can lead to negative responses, probably coming from past conditioning.Nodes in the 1st/7th houses can be problematic for relationships, also (karma related to self vs other).Uranus may find the idea of marriage or long-lasting commitment obsolete or scary. Saturn may be too afraid of responsibilities and intimacy, and Neptune may have impossible standards / unrealistic visions. Pluto may be destructive and way too dramatic for long-term relationships. In a nutshell. One thing I've noticed is that usually people with Moon in the 7th house are very relationship-oriented: their sense of security lies in relating to a special someone.I'm so cappyI don't want marriage but I wouldn't call myself a commitment phobe so I don't know if I should share my placements.------------------I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.Blackbird quote:Originally posted by Gabby:Ive known 2 gemini mars in 5th gemini house, they were eternally single, never settle down type guys...but 8th house in virgo allowed them to be so picky they felt justified because nobody was ever good enough.I kind of feel this way.I'm picky. Well, I want fairness: I'm honest, respectful, responsible, fit, etc. I expect my partner to be the same. The pickiness may be indicated by my Venus and Mars, conjunct in Virgo, in the 8th house. My desire for balance and fairness is (probably) indicated by my stellium in the 9th house, including Mercury in Libra conjunct Pluto in Libra... which are both conjunct Sun in Scorpio and Saturn in Scorpio.I've read many, many horrible things about modern marriages and divorces, about all the unfair things that happen in divorce settlements. *If* I ever find someone that I think I could stick with... I would probably ask for a non-traditional marriage (no marriage license).I believe the people in the relationship should ask themselves, and each other:What is commitment? What is marriage?I also have 4 t-squares, involving the Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Uranus. I'm sure all that stuff is indicated somewhere, somehow in my attitudes and perceptions... but I'm not sure how, exactly.Oh, and because that wonderful *cough* stellium is square to my Ascendant, in Capricorn... I can't seem to "be myself", to present a good image to other people. The best I can do, most of the time, is a forced, professional smile and handshake, and dry job-interview type discussion. And that's when someone manages to pry any words out of me at all.I feel like I'm too screwed up to have a "good" relationship, whatever that means.------------------My natal chartStarlightSmileSupremeLibra planets in house 12. That's practically every aspect there is! I have three of the planets listed ascending. I agree the ascending planets could definitely be interpreted as being a bit apprehensive about any long term deals involving other people. Emphasis is on self, for better or worst. Libra on the cusp of house 1 isn't good for marriage, either, imo. Libra, ideally, is on the cusp of the opposite house and things get kinda wacky when it's on the ascendant instead of descendant. Libra planets in house 12 could be interpreted as self undoing through partnerships or others. Wouldn't Jupiter descending be considered beneficial to partnerships?Little DoeAbout fixed energy - I´m not sure that it automatically means you find commitment easier than for example air.40% of my chart is in the fixed sign of scorpio, and I´m a commitmentophobe.
