Not only is it best for the child, but best for society: people who grow up in bad homes are statistically more likely to go on and create them, as well as become criminals, often violent ones. A happy and healthy home not only benefits the immediate family, but it is more likely to send out into society a person with a good sound head on his/her shoulders.Denying a person the right to that home just because those parents happen to be of the same sex is ridiculous.
