T O P I C R E V I E Wdodgers1955I've read that Aquarius is ruled by Saturn. There was once a very close link to Capricorn with Aquarius in the 19th Century. It is said that Abraham Lincoln had more Capricorn traits than Aquarian. Myself, being a Sun Aquarian with the Sun in the 10th House, the House of Capricorn, feel more like a Capricorn than an Aquarian. I like to work, I care about my career and social standing. I am patient and I know that one has to wait to become what one wants to become. Does anyone know about the AQurius-Capicrn-Saturn link?Battle of EvermoreWell, yes, Saturn once ruled Aquarius, and Capricorn, but that was before Uranus was discovered. Once it was discovered, Aquarians seemed to take on, new, Uranian traits, therefore was declared ruled by Uranus. Do you know anything about the rest of your chart? You could have a Capricorn, ascendant, or Moon. The Sun in the tenth house also probably makes a big difference.I have acctually read about some Aquarians still being ruled by Saturn. Like this thing I read about a subspecies of Virgos, who are acctually more Scorpionic.DayDreamerHey dodgers1955, I also have my Aqua Sun in the 10th house. I also feel like I'm ruled by Saturn-Uranus. Maybe you also have some planets in Capricorn like BoE said? How does your chart look?proxiemeYo Dodge - If nothing else, Linda G. mentions there (still) being "two types of Aquarians": those ruled by Saturn and those by Uranus.(I feel compelled to mention that as this is lg.com.)But, as Evermore said, your feelings also probably have quite a bit to do with your other chart placements. A few years ago I bought this very old book on Astrology- I think it was called "Horoscope Interpretations", I'm not sure. I remember reading about the shifting of paradigms that is accomplished by Aquarius- but it definitely didn't say anything about destruction of paradigms. And hey- Aquarians are often described as dogmatic which at first seems in contradiction to the Aquarian spirit, but is actually quite true in a sense. I guess that's why it's the 11th sign- like Tim said, only with the final sign do structures dissolve.dodgers1955I agree.DayDreamerHere are a few links for some info on the ruling of Uranus and Saturn over Aquarius: http://www.skyscript.co.uk/ur_aq.html http://www.skyscript.co.uk/aquarius.html http://www.skyscript.co.uk/uranus1.html http://www.astrology-x-files.com/astro-philosophy/aquarianparadox.htm venus2tinkerbell quote:Originally posted by wilsontc:proxieme,In my opinion, the ruling of Saturn (structure) over Aquarius never fully went away...Aquarius just got a new friend called Uranus! ;-) The nature of Aquarius/Uranus/11th house (all these are inter-related) is that of REstructuring. Uranus governs day, Saturn night.Aries23DegreesI may be inclined to agree with Linda as there being 2 types of Aquarians; those ruled by Saturn and those ruled by Uranus. The Uranus ruled ones are strongly rebellious to social conventions,, eccentric and electrifying in essence. There is something very crazy and chaotic about them that they can't help but stand out wiith either their style of dress, physical features or demeanor.I was watching "Bronson" the other day with the amazing Tom Hardy.
